Comments: I just bought this bag. I read a posting (I forgot where from, and apparently it was outdated) that said you can take it to a coach store to verify. AFTER I bought the bag, I came across your website, and on one of the forums it said coach employees are not trained to do so. I am now concerned as to how I can identify if this is real or fake, but came across this thread and signed up for an account. If you do find it to be fake, will your word be enough for me to ask for a refund from the seller? Thank you in advance, please advise.

*NOTE* aside from the link, I posted additional photos that the seller gave me, and the serial number is H1420-34417P. If you need additional photos, I will have to wait until it arrives in the mail.

**also, if no one responds by the time it comes in the mail, should I make a new post with new pictures I can take, being that I'll actually have the bag in hand or do I just add the pictures to this post?

I have a general question about the creed patchs.....i ready a guide somewhere that says Coach never used the letter i as a date stamp, as to not confuse people because it looks too much like 1....is that true. I saw a listing for a bag I think on shopgoodwill and it started with I...the format of the creed numbers were right but the month was stamped I. I'm treying to find the post to show you.

Hello Everyone!
Wondering if this early 1993 Sonoma is a fake - based on the funky creed, & stitching issues?

TIA!

It's a complete fake from the creed to the fake serial number to the hardware to the lining. Please report.

Also A8M-4896 is on the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List, that should be one of the first places to check. Please save the link.

Comments: Is this type of back on the 'female' part of the turnlock common in fobs? Attached pics are mine.View attachment 3381991 View attachment 3381993 View attachment 3381994 View attachment 3381995 View attachment 3381996

It looks ok, that turnlock style was used on some Coin Fobs.

"I" wasn't SUPPOSED to be used but sometimes a plant made a mistake. I've seen other genuine bags from that same plant and time with the same mistake. It's appeared in both fake and genuine bags and every one needs to be looked at individually. This one looks good.

So glad this board is back up! Just got this one, know what this style is called?

- NYC made bag 771-3735
- In my possession
- Approx 10.5"x6.5"x2". Removable strap. The seller called it green, but looks brownish. Interior creed looks more green though, with the suede appearing brown. Is it possible for a green bag to fade to brown over time? I can't answer about the color. It looks like a Basic Bag # 9455 from the early 1980s
