I think it may be just a production glitch, the other details all seem ok. A lot of things can affect the color and feel of leather, including what previous owners did, and didn't do, to it. As long as the rest of the bag is ok, it's genuine.

Comment: I don't think this is a Coach and it does't claim to be, but I would appreciate any guesses. I do have a Sheridan woven leather wallet that I had authenticated a while back that had this woven leather. It seems to be quality leather and quality stitching. That was the only reason I posted here, I don't have the cross body strap for it that I think it probably had nor any fobs - just what you see. I put some mink oil on it which is why it looks so shiny. Black China tag attached inside - no numbers on the tag.

It looks fine. The other one reminds me of Brighton but if it was I think it would have a tag inside.

1- genuine, no photos of the top of the bag and no measurements so I'm not going to try and guess the style, Chapin, Regis or maybe even Pierre since I think I see 2 zipper pulls. If you win it, send measurements and photos of the top of the bag or have the seller send or post photos.

Also, I don't like to guess at colors, as I've explained before, sorry. There are limited color tags for specific years posted here:

3- same thing, I don't keep many records of small accessories

4- genuine, check the photo of the tag

Here's something I have that shows (some) of the Italian-made Madison line colors.

ETA: I know that they also made Madison's in Scarlet/Cherry, Celadon, Butter, as well as a tan color I've yet to see a name assigned to. I've also seen references to a color some have referred to as Caramel (which may be Maple), along with a Fern (which may be the color of the recently listed Spence shown in the attached photo, since Forest is a very dark green), and a medium (almost royal) blue.

Thanks for the link to the color samples and the samples! Based on the tag, looks like number 4 maybe maple (MPL)! :flowers:
