The Prorsum tag does not look right. I wonder if it is wool - can you tell?
t

That’s what I’m thinking it feels really soft similar to my other Burberry scarf that are cashmere and cashmere/wool blend. I can gather strands from it and burn them to see if it smells synthetic, Or I’ll ask my dry cleaner if he thinks it’s wool

Hi, sorry to butt in, obviously I'm not an authenticator for Burberry. But this is absolutely fake. They misspelled two cyrillic letters at the end of the fabric tag. R and W instead of Я and Ш. Then on the other size, two misspellings again, W and N instead of Ш and И. (Not sure if these symbols are displaying correctly for you, but they're totally off.)

I agree - the prorsum tag is not right at all - and it should match the content tag - which it does not. I hope people can learn to tell what is wool and what is acrylic - that would help a lot - rub the fabric between your fingers - if it has a "squeek" it is not wool.

I agree with you and thank you for the help with second language - this is an excellent skill to have. I often get my husband to check the French :). Please stick around - label reading is such a valuable skill to have.
Thank you

Thanks, I will! I check this thread frequently - Burberry is one of my absolute favorite brands. It's good that their bags and clothing items have these care/contents tags, makes spotting fakes a bit easier.

I bought this Burberry Elmstone bag from The RealReal, it looks authentic but what is bothering me is that the little tag, where the serial number is printed, is not very clear to read. Can you please help me out to verify authenticity? I’ll appreciate any help!

Thank you so much for you help I will try to rub the fabric between my hands later and see if it’s squeak. I didn’t know that trick, now I have more knowledge when I go look around the thrift store .

I will return it tomorrow when I have more time to look around as that store only gives store credit . Thank so much again have a great weekend

The store only gives store credit so I’ll return it to more when I have more time to look for a replacement . The replicas now are crazy good it is scary , thank you to you guys for helping us to not get dupe
Have a awesome weekend
Not sure where you're located, but in most countries, it's against the law to sell fakes. So it doesn't matter what the store's policy is on returns. They shouldn't have been selling that scarf in the first place. The law trumps any store policies.

The serial number and the Made in should match - so that is not a good sign. I need to see those interior cloth tags - all pages.
