Could you please help me authenticate this vintage Burberrys trench coat?
I’ve included detailed photos below:

• Full front view
• Full back view
• Close-up of tartan lining
• Care/content label (shows 50% cotton / 50% polyester)
• Brand label (“Burberrys” with the S)
• Close-up of buttons and stitching
• Any other relevant details

Additional information:

• Purchased second-hand recently
• Lining is 50% cotton / 50% polyester (is this consistent for the period?)

Thanks so much, that’s really reassuring to hear. I was worried it might be fake because of the slightly uneven stitching and the plain plastic buttons (some forums say all the buttons should be engraved and made of horn)

Well, this is a vintage item. It is NOT TRUE that all buttons should be engraved, but that misinformation is out there, worrying everyone with a vintage coat or trench. And I don't believe horn either - but those ARE seen on vintage duffles.
