Hi, could you please help me authenticate this Burberry scarf? :)

Thank you! :)

Hi

I actually can help you with that. It's fake. Cashmere scarves are made in Scotland, also label is incorrect, font is incorrect too (letter R in particular) and I don't think it probably is a cashmere.

Cashmere scarves are made in many places, England and Scotland included.

This is a genuine scarf.

Many thanks for the bag but you're wrong about the scarf. I had exactly the same scarf a couple of years ago (plus pink, red and brown nova check ones) and got them authenticated via an independent appraiser and these were fakes. They had exactly the same labels and if you go to a Burberry shop and check their cashmere scarves you won't find such a label on them (should be wider and beige as far as I recall, obviously R should also have longer and curved serif and not be just a regular R). Burberry scarves are made in many places (Italy, China, England etc.) but 100% cashmere ones are being made EXCLUSIVELY IN SCOTLAND (Hawick in Lothian Borders to be precise). So to sum up - this particular scarf is not genuine. It is not even cashmere, my bet would be a polyester as most of the knock offs and cheap scarves are being made of.

Perhaps take the time to read ADDY's Burberry Scarf Reference Guide.

Then let us know what you think .....

(Blue tags pre-date the beige ones - that's the simple explanation for the blue (older) tag. Check the first page of the guide and you will see 100% Cashmere scarves - Made in England - blue tags.)
