Looks okay but I would like to see a clearer photo of the authenticity tag. Please help authenticate this beauty Garda bag. Thank you!![]()
Thank you for the response! This is an authentic vintage Bottega Veneta bag, IMO. Looks to be about 40 years old.
thanks so much for the response! So is the bag being sold most likely a fake? Because the seller said the variant is a vintage small hobo bag in black. The authenticity tag does not match. This is a medium Veneta, and the interior tag is for a Ball Bag.
The “serial number” for this item is unique to the style number, so a Veneta and a Ball Bag cannot share the style number. Furthermore, all Medium and Large Nero (black) Venetas share the colour code of 1000, not 8175.
The item pictured is authentic, IMO. It’s vintage - before my time (and the forum) - probably 30+ years old.Item Name: unknown
Seller name or ID: BaileyNord
Comments:
I came across this bag at the thrift store for 4 dollars. The bag is a beautiful and incredibly soft, but I am untrained in designer bags and not sure if it is authentic or a nice fake. The back of the inside zipper says “Riri Swiss M4” and I can’t seem to find much about this tag but it appears older. Any insight is appreciated!
Missing photos of both sides of the authenticity tagCould someone look at the details of this veneta? They’re different zips than my others. TIA!

There is a “Veneta” and there is a “Ball Bag”. They each have their own unique style number. The number on the authenticity tag does not belong to the bag shown. Unless the seller took some random photo on the internet to send you, I don’t know. I personally would not go ahead with purchasing anything from a seller that will not provide pictures to prove authenticity.thanks so much for the response! Comments: I snatched this up as a fixer upper bag that I wish to dye. Seller purchased from Neiman Marcus and I only spent $440! The square zipper pull got me at first and then she said it’s the first edition of the Jodie.
The Garda Bag is authentic, IMOView attachment 6143055View attachment 6143056View attachment 6143057View attachment 6143058View attachment 6143059View attachment 6143060Hi! Would really appreciate some help to authenticate this bottega garda bag I purchased from the real real.
Attaching my own pics as well as the real real link.
It appears real to me. Butter soft high quality leather like my other bottega.
The zipper is Riri. No mirror or authenticity card included. There is a dust bag.
However my other bottega has the two line serial number (which displays year it was made). This one just has the one line serial number. From what I read online it seems that around 2011 or 2012 Bottega moves from the 2 line to the 1 line tags?
Thx in advance for your help!!
The Moro Rugiada Tote is authentic, IMO. I prefer not to comment on price. I’ve seen highly coveted bags selling for pennies, and old vintage bags trying to sell for a thousand dollars. It really comes down to what it’s worth to you.
