****** is super--I have bought Balenciaga from her; everything she sells is authentic--Bbags, BV, Miu Miu, etc.

I have 5 listings that I believe are counterfeit BV bags. I am sure that there are many more, but they do not contain enough pictures for me to make a decision. boxermom, C_24, jburgh, BookerMoose, and any others, I would really appreciate it if you could confirm my evaluations on these listings:

Someone must have made a ton of #4 bag or else the same bag keeps turning up on eBay-it's atrocious.

They all look questionable, esp. 2, 3, 4. The first one just doesn't have the look of a real Sloane (poor reasoning, I know), and the last one I can't tell. I don't know much about Cabats. The reason I question the red Cabat is it doesn't look like a red from BV, and the leather is awfully shiny. #2 doesn't look like a real anything--the handles and where they attach to the bag, the weave, etc. all look wrong.

Baggiana, you have a very good feel for what is authentic. It's hard when they only post 1 or 2 pics. That bothers me when someone is selling a bag and buyer isn't given the info they need.

I agree with Baggiana and boxermom that none of them look quite right although some have so few pictures it is hard to know for sure. I'm sure I've seen those same Sloane pictures on one of the fake sites and/or iOffer too. Sorry to see that #5 has sold now, too.

Thanks for weighing in, boxermom, and BookerMoose. I have reported the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th listings to eBay. I am starting to do this again, as obvious fakes should not be listed.

OK - I do not know what to make of this bag. I know that there is only 1 pic, but I have never seen the letters on a chain, and since I am not the most experienced, I was wondering what you know or think...

The navy one and the white clutch are definitely authentic vintage BV. The first one I lean to authentic but the nameplate (if I could see it clearly) would indicate a vintage that is more recent than the first two, but still a style that is older. Just not as certain about the first one.

The last two are earlier vintage, and look fine to me. The first seems ok, too, but was produced a bit later - the font looks more block-like, not a serif font... and the zipper pull corroborates this. You might want to ask this seller if the interior lining is leather or suede. Good luck!
