The link just connects to the home page of eBay, which is odd because I glanced at it earlier (but had no time to post) and I saw a gray bag with a braided handle. So right now, I can't comment. It's a style I've never seen in a US store, but for the size and detail, the price might be about right ($2900+, right?). I'd have to see the pics again, but I don't remember seeing anything odd about the bag.

Does anybody know the name/style of the bag? And shouldn't it have an authenticity tag somewhere?

The metal nameplate shows that it's one of the older vintage bags. They didn't have authenticity tags. I don't think they "named" their older bags, they probably just described them. BV doesn't name all their recent bags either! This would be a tote, obviously. It looks like a style that evolved into the Cabat that is so popular and classic now.

The pics look great but seller didn't include the authenticity tag or font from the interior. Retail is $1980--that was the price when this color came out and I don't think price for this style has increased. One of the members (Bookermoose) here is the Montaigne queen--she would know more. Personally I think seller is asking an awful lot--$500 over retail. It also allows offers but it's a guess how much she wants; obviously more than retail.
