I haven't seen the turtle IRL but the clasp and opening and everything else about it looks good to me and are identical to the ones on my ladybug and fish. I also can't imagine counterfeiters making anything this fiddly! Go for it!!!!

i am new here, actually i've been reading from time to time,and i guess i was too shuy to post. So this is my very first post.;).

I am sorry i cannot be very productive and helpful because i am not a real specialist in bags, (i own some designer's bags , mostly Kenzo, Vanessa Bruno , Fratelli Rossetti and Hogan) , even if i do worhsip Bottega Veneta as in all (design, work, clothes, bags and it's esthetic) , i dont own any.....yet :shame:.

I wanted to acquire a small simple bag from ebay, i dont have a particular design in mind, and i wouldnt mind it ''vintage''.

I am following these two items, and i was searching a lot of informations to see if it's authentic, i contacted the sellers who were very nice, and they have sent me other photos of the interior of the bags with a zoom on the metallic gold bottega veneta and made in italy '''stamp'''.

I am not very much acquainted with ebay , i hardly buy at all.So i would be really grateful if you could help and give me your advice.

Does anyone know the original price? I saw one in nero at Barney's in Dec but didn't check the price. The seller says that it was over $500.00...

Can you post pictures of the metal plate with the name stamp? The second bag has a dust bag that doesn't look authentic. At one time there were green bags but the fabric looked different, I believe. The first bag looks good to me. If possible I'd like to see the metal plate.

The vintage bags are lovely when they have had good care--the leather stays nice and gets softer with age.

Thank you jburgh, boxermom, and BookerMoose. That was about my guess too. The seller also says the BIN would be $250, and someone else is showing interest so I'd better hurry... hmmm...:thinkin: I may just bid with my best offer and see how it goes.

Hmmm - I paid more than that BIN (not super more, but more...) for my red ladybug. And further food for thought - I did check last week and the BV boutiques (in the US at least) are not carrying the turtle this year - so I say snap up the BIN because who knows when you will see another one!!!
