mistikat- after my experience with the credit card in the Gonzalez bag, I keep in my bag a BV credit card holder/coin case with me and a small french purse to easily transfer to my clutch bags..I am learning in my old age......

I keep my credit cards in a wallet, and if this offers adequate protection, then I won't worry about it. I'm glad to hear that no one has experienced any problems with the magnets in BV bags!

Do you think that the phones/PDA's are ok? I thought that processors should also be kept clear of magnets... I am fairly careless about moving my treo around. I noticed that the magnet in one of NG's purse was right behind the cell phone pocket.

LOL I KNOW! I have never seem anyone here with BV, and I live in downtown! Its mostly LV and Coach in T.O.

we can only get BV in Holts and the selection is ridiculously small and overpriced!

I'm thinking of taking a 3 day shopping bus tour during Easter to New York, and hopefully hit up 5th avenue as well as woodbury commons where they have a BV outlet!

heiheij, the BV outlet at Woodbury Common is quite good. The merch is a few seasons old, but the three times I've been there, the selection was nice adn the prices were way better than what we pay. Woodbury in general is a great outlet mall and well worth the day trip.

Hi Ladies (and Claus)--

I am a long time lurker and somewhat newbie poster. I just bought this bag off of eBay--I think it is the same one that was authenticated as "probably real" a few pages back. I was just hoping you all could take a closer look and let me know what you think--I am pretty sure it's real, but I don't have a lot of experience with the older BV bags or smooth leather. I am also especially concerned about: 1) the end of the handle: is that glue? Is that fixable? and 2) the BV dustbag--all of mine are light brown but this may just reflect that this is an older bag. Please please please help and let me know if you need any additional pics.

I believe it's authentic also--the font and hardware look good and as previously stated, craftsmanship appears to be excellent. I seriously doubt the fakers would bother with this style--they want to make quick money off Venetas, Sloanes, Cabats, Cockers, etc.

Good deal is subjective for these type bags. They say it's new, so I suppose it is compared to original price.

Hi Kate!

Congrats on scoring such a beautiful bag. The tag and the font of the stamp look good, plus by your pics one can almost feel and smell the soft leather and suede lining. The dustbag has the older font on it that BV used before the font they us nowadays, so I wouldn`t worry about that.

As for the end of the handle, it doesn`t look like a serious damage that can`t be fixed. If you`re near to a BV store, just turn it in to ask if they can repair it (does look as if one part has become a little loose, right?).

BTW: Thanks for the honor of putting my name up there :shame:

Thank you thank you! I was so worried when I opened my box, and I feel soooo much better now! eBay is always such a cr*pshoot!
