jburgh, I chime in with nizlay, the orange tote looks good.

But I´d stay away from that yellow set. The tag shows a second line that has only been introduced to bags newer than S/S 2007 and so far, there has been no colour called Limone or even just a yellow that came close. I`m suspicious. The tag looks really good, but I`ve never seen this style and colour and it has to be brandnew.

however, coupled with the fact there have been a lot of fake Sloanes on eBay recently, I would definitely ask the seller for a few more pictures of the bag (and especially the tag) from different angles to be 100% sure they actually have the bag in the good pictures and are not just using pictures of a real bag they got from somewhere else...

Oooh...so is this sloane fake then? It looks quite good to my untrained eyes. Trying to learn here.

^^ I'm not saying the Sloane is fake, I'm just remarking on the fact that the outside picture isn't as clear or as good as the inside ones, and I recently bought a bag from eBay where the pictures were from a different (and authentic) bag, not the horrible fake I then received. As a result, the difference between some of the pictures here would probably make me want to double-check and ask for more pictures just to be sure they really do have the bag shown in the inside pictures.

Thanks so much. The vintage bag is really interesting looking - love the tassels. I'm so frustrated with eBay though that it almost seems like just saving for the bag and buying it new is the way to go. On the other hand, I have gotten some great bags from good eBay sellers at great prices. Decisions, decision! Good week all.

Thanks. I am so tempted. But my last two transactions on ebay have left little to be desired. Everytime I hit my head and tell myself never again to trade on ebay and I have broken this promise many times. This time I shall really pass on this.

Hi Barkingcats!

The black Sloane looks awful, I`d stay away after so many fake Sloanes have appeared on ebay.

The yellow bag with those thorn-like details looks good and for a 3-year old bag it`s a mint condition judging from the pics.

The green Veneta looks okay, too, although the pic if the tag seems to have lost some focus due to downsizing, so I`d ask for another one.

The last one leaves me clueless though. I think it`s very old, say more than 15 years old when they still used the really old logo. It has interesting tags inside, but I`ve never seen them before. I think we have to wait for boxermom to have a look at it, she`s the vintage expert here.

BARKINGCATS- the black sloane bag is FAKE, FAKE, FAKE. stay away from this 1...the other 3 are authentic..the vintage 1 may be from the 70's to early 80's from what I can remember..

Thank you Prestwick - it's so funny. I'm not an expert at all but my gut feeling told me it was bogus. Also, that seller sold one just like it (for $1,100) a couple of weeks ago which was kind of a clue that it was dicey. Best regards - Jacqueline

Hi. Its authentic, but not your typical soft squishy BV leather. I have the same wallet and I recall that the small basket bag was also made in this colourway. Its a few years old. Hope that helps.
