I just bought a BV belt from bluefly (size 85 cm). Sorry I am not able to post pics as I am technically challenged and DH is on a business trip. It has the signature intreccato weave, and the buckle is in brass and the two ends are curved into a small loop on each end. The belt looked like noce on Bluefly's website, but when I got it, it appeared to be a shade darker than noce but not as dark as ebano. I cannot find any identification tags on the belt itself. There is however a white sticker label on the plastic covering the belt with the code "159465 V7780 2510" and the words "Cintura Nappa Umbria Intreccia" on the sticker. Do BV belts come with authenticity tags? Any red flags on this one based on the sticker code? TIA

I believe we recently established for sure that 2510 is the noce colour code - so from the label it does sound like your belt is indeed noce... Maybe it just looks a bit different in a belt than a bag?

I finally received my BV!!
Whoohooo I am so excited!

But more than anything, I would like to confirm the authenticity and hoping you the expert in BV board will enlighten me..
1. What is the name of this colour? I have to use the seller's pic cos my camera can't handle anything beyond $100 bucks :sweatdrop:

2. The interior lining of the bag is this really pale or light blue while the lining of the interior pocket is different material (fabric). Is this how its supposed to be?

3. The tag inside the interior pocket, is it supposed to be a fabric? Cos the one on this bag is like the really hard papery material..
I tried to take pics of the number but it came out so blur..however it reads:
115653 v0013 6500

Thank you so much!

Thanks. It does look like noce actually. Is there any way to authenticate a BV belt? Afterall, the numbers were not actually sewn onto the belt itself (as in the case of a bag), but on Bluefly's sticker label. Also, would anyone know what year/season this belt was made? :confused1: Sorry no pics, but if you could kindly go to Bluefly's website - you would see the belt there. Thank you so much.

I have a ball bag in what appears to be the same colour. It also has a pale blue lining, and the authenticity tag is as you describe but reads 145552 V0016 6578. If I recall correctly, the colour is called Papavero. Congrats on your beautiful bag!

Hi Minda, I have a BV belt too, a intrecciato weave nero men's belt. Simple in design, and pic of it here...

When I read your story, I went to check my belt and it also does not have any authenticity tag. Only that it has "Bottega Veneta" and "Made in Italy" stamped at the back. I bought mine from my local BV store, so I'm pretty sure its authentic and the SA even commented on my belt when I visited the place again some time later.

My belt came with only a dustbag, no box. According to the store, belts do not come with boxes. I did not take note of the sticker code on the plastic covering cause in all my excitment, I probably tore it off and threw it away.

I'm thinking yours is probably authentic, based on what I have on mine. However, will drop by my BV store and ask around if I get the chance this weekend and will keep everyone posted!

Thanks heaps for the info Nizlay!

Can I please ask, is your interior pocket lining is like a dark beige coloured fabric?

Hence, can anyone else shed light on the numbers on the authenticity tag, they are different because perhaps it refers to the number of particular style?

TIA

Thank you so much Triggerpuff! Yes, do keep me posted after your trip to the BV store. Also, could you check your belt to see if the edges are sort of "painted" over? My edges are finished in some kind of a noce "paint". Sorry for poor choice of words - it is not exactly paint - but the edges are not raw - they have a kind of finish to it.
PS. Luv your belt!

You're welcome, Minda! Yup, my belt has some sort of finishing to it, but in exactly the same colour, ie. Nero. The edges are similar to what I have on my nero wallet as well. I'll try to take a close up shot and post it here.

You are welcome:smile1:. Unfortuntately the ball bay only has suede lining so I can't check on the interior pocket fabric. I don't think you have anything to worry about. I have never seen a fake BV with the pale blue lining.

Hi all,
I just received this BV bag I purchased from watchsavings through amazon. just want to share phtos with you and can somebody authenticate for me.
thanks a lot
