I checked the times of our posts and while you posted, I was typing my post!

If she bought it in 2008, it was not from a BV store or dept. store that carries BV, because this style tag is several years old. The tag looks good and I think everything is authentic but I don't know what to say about her purchase story.

The photos are quite small, but it looks genuine and an early small Veneta. They don't make this size anymore and haven't for several years.

I'm looking for information on this bag. I bought it at a vintage store and really don't know much about it, except that it's Bottega Veneta and it's not a recent design. If anyone could give me some information on the name of the bag/age/value/etc. that would be spectacular! Please let me know if you need more photos to identify the bag. I tried to look through the forum to find a similar bag so I could find out the information but there appears to be nothing about it there.

Can you show a clear photo of the font (the stamped name inside the bag)? It's older, but not one of the oldest vintage bags. Don't know a name for it. What's the leather like--suede, smooth, pebbled? what kind of lining?

aaa, everything looks good, but the limited addition plaque has no numbers. I do not know if this is the case for all of the large mini crochet bags or not. I believe that ReRe had the smaller edition, and you can check with her to see if this was the case.

Attached is the photo. The bag is a soft suede and the lining is soft smooth leather in the front pocket and some kind of non-leather material in the side pocket and interior zippered pocket.

I think it's authentic, but this middle-era vintage (I'd guess the 1990's) is a weak link in my BV knowledge, so I can't be certain. From a practical standpoint, I can't imagine fakers trying to copy a lesser-known BV style. They want to make the quick bucks and tend to copy the most recognizable styles with higher prices. So that would make me think this is genuine.
