You know, this looks like Armatura - there were two versions done, one that was not cross-hatched ... which would be this one, and Elephant Amatura, which IS cross-hatched; here's a reveal thread that shows good photos. http://forum.purseblog.com/bottega-veneta/from-hawaii-my-elephant-armatura-large-veneta-473543.html
You might see if you can request a photo of the authenticity tag (front/back) if you're really interested - we'd be able to tell all from that.

I asked the seller to describe the leather feels compared to other BV bags. He/she said "It is durable/stiff/"rough", not soft...

Phew..my wallet is safe
