I never have an ostrich bag. Is it fairly stiff compared to the goat skin? I wish it's darker. Look very light in the picture.

Hi BV experts, I would really appreciate your assistance with authenticating this bag I just purchased. It is my first time purchasing a pre-owned bag online. As it is an older, vintage style, the item did not come with original tags or dust bag--however, it does look very well kept. I am happy with it but would like your opinion/thoughts on whether it is authentic.

In my opinion, this is an authentic vintage bag. I am not a BV vintage expert, however, so wait for one of our resident vintage experts to chime in before doing the 100% Happy Dance.

Hi, all!

I'm eyeing a pre-loved bag that doesn't have enough pics for me to post yet, but perhaps you can help with one nagging question:

Has BV made a metallic silver in the Veneta other than the Armatura? I've been searching the forums, but haven't found one in any of the reference threads. I've seen Peltro and Moon and something called "Dust Petille," but none of those in the Veneta. Did BV offer a silver Veneta without the crosshatch markings of the Armatura?

Wow. This looks like a great vintage find. I checked the tag on my vintage suede with tassel bag and never noticed the Kanji characters on the bottom of the tag until tonight. It looks like the outside may have been polished a bit (due to the shine) but I think you got a great deal on a pre Tomas bag. The brass plaque looks fine. Enjoy your vintage BV.

Thanks so much for your feedback. The Kanji characters actually alarmed me at first as I thought it was a reproduced fake in an Asian country--so I am glad to hear you have a similar tag with yours. This makes me feel better about mine. :)
