Hi friends!

Long time no talk. Had to take a break from BV buying for law school, but I just finished and couldn't resist getting myself a (who am I kidding? several) treats, one of which was of course BV. I am confident this is authentic, but expert opinions are always appreciated. <3 Thank you!

this bag is vintage
it is made of Marco Polo
I do not know enough abut vintage to authenticate it
but from what I see it looks ok

Hey, congrats on law school! I didn't want to try authenticating this because I'm just not familiar with BV belts. Some of the smaller leather goods have so few details to examine. I will say I see no obvious warning signs, but I don't know enough to say that it's authentic. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge will reply.

Comments: This is my first ever BV bag so I don't really know what to look for. The leather is to die for. The only thing that made me concerned was that the seam where the authenticity tag is sewn into the inside pocket is sewn diagonally right across the numbers. Is that normal?

I wouldn't worry about the sewing over the tag. I haven't seen this bag from the time period of this tag. That doesn't mean it's fake, just that I'm unfamiliar with it. So I can't offer an opinion on authenticity. Maybe someone who knows more about this time period (late 1990's, is my guess) will comment for you.

This is the latest type of tag in the bags. It doesn't give us as much information as the old tags, unfortunately. To authenticate this bag, we would need to see the heatstamp from inside the bag and since it has a mirror, also the stamp on the back side of the mirror. Thanks!

Thanks, boxermom. It's OK. I think I'm going to return it, anyway. Not because I think it's fake it's just a little too small. I've fallen in love with the cervo leather, though :love:so I'll probably end up buying one of the baseball hobos, instead.
