The reason why I am quoting myself is because there is some question with this seller in the Hermes authentication thread - post 3639 from perlerare
http://forum.purseblog.com/authenti...-please-read-rules-use-format-523064-243.html says she cannot give the seller a green light regarding a birkin. I don;t know how pertinent this is to my authentication request, but I am leaning towards not pursuing this particular bag for this reason. I wanted to put that info in this thread, should it help anyone else searching for this seller. I also have to apologize - in my eagerness to put in my authenticate request, I did not do a search for the seller patina on BV forum first. TIA
I was thinking very seriously about a Bottega Veneta cabat from this seller (patina) and while I know you authenticate each bag individually on its own merits and these are two different bags, I find your statements re the Hermes bag helps me in my where to buy BV cabat decision making process!
880, not to take this totally off-topic, but I feel responsible for this and want to state this for the record (I was the one with the endless queries pursuing a Birkin under 9k, and having had haggled her down to 8k, this would be a horrible disservice for my queries to cause this, especially because she is so sweet and professional).
While this seller may not be an H expert (and I have moved on just in case), I know for a fact having watched her auctions for some time, that her expertise is mainly in Chanel, BV and Balenciaga.
You will also note that it was repeatedly stated that they could not state whether the Birkin was real or fake - as they stated they were on the fence (the fakes were outright declared "fake"). While I think the experts on the H forum may doubt her expertise in H, or her sparse history of selling H, I don't think anyone has questioned this seller's integrity; in fact I think
perlerare stated she is very professional and takes her job very seriously, and she later states in the thread to me that she is simply uncertain and I should ask the seller where the bag came from.
I don't want my persistent queries to be cause to dissuade anyone from her other listings, particularly in her areas of expertise, including her expertise in BV. And as
doloresmia states, the last negative or neutral feedback she received as a high-end brand reseller with 30+ listings at any given time, was in 2005 by a non-paying bidder, and her previous positive feedbacks from happy customers range from low $1k's items to up to $10k (did a massive search while obsessing over the B).
I am sorry, mods, for taking this OT, but I feel responsible
