Hi all!

I came across a vintage BV bag. The tag inside the bag is a bit different than the tags of the newer BVs. I did a little search and found that in older bags the colour wasn't determined by the 4 code digit but from two or three capital letters (for example TER was for Terre etc.). The bag I found has a tag which ends with the letters RT. This should be the indication of the colour. But does anyone have an idea what colour this could be?

I know I'm asking a lot and this is really difficult, but if someone could help it would be great!

The reason why I am quoting myself is because there is some question with this seller in the Hermes authentication thread - post 3639 from perlerare http://forum.purseblog.com/authenti...-please-read-rules-use-format-523064-243.html says she cannot give the seller a green light regarding a birkin. I don;t know how pertinent this is to my authentication request, but I am leaning towards not pursuing this particular bag for this reason. I wanted to put that info in this thread, should it help anyone else searching for this seller. I also have to apologize - in my eagerness to put in my authenticate request, I did not do a search for the seller patina on BV forum first. TIA

hi, since you have posted before you probably are aware that we need certain pix for authentication. this seller has not posted sufficient photos. please request the necessary photos and we appreciate it if you request them before asking for authentication. however, based on what i see i would pass.

first, the first seller does not have the correct name or color for the bag. this doesn't necessarily mean anything, but as always, make sure you check the seller feedback and do your research before buying.

from the pix both look ok, but i would wait for a second opinion.

this style was FW 2008

i think this is ok, but lets wait for some other opinions. this bag was also on ebay for my fellow authenticators. it is ebano, not moro.

The listing says *faux leather* and it's clear from the photos that these are very poor quality. Fake. I can't explain the 100% feedback for the seller, but I would stay away.

As doloresmia said, the first bag isn't Tournabuoni, which is a detailing technique different from this style. The color is Lilac and it's called the Bond bag.

I believe both bags are genuine.
