In order to authenticate, I would like to see clear, close-up pictures of the front and back of the authenticity tag. Please request these of the seller. The other pics look good.

BTW, the current retail price of the Montaigne is $2280 - not $4K.

At the end of the code on the white tag are the letters TER, which I believe mean Terra or Terra Cotta. We see this code often with the earlier Venetas. To me, it looks like a slight variation of Noce, but Noce would not be it's official color; Terra would be the color name, as I understand it.

Others with more knowledge, please add your comments!

Looks like a lovely, well-kept bag.

I think it's probably genuine. Since it's an earlier Veneta, some of the details are different from the ones we see now. Is it possible to see a photo of the back side of the zipper pull where the zipper brand name is stamped?

Possibly someone with more knowledge of these early Venetas can comment for you.
