I believe it's authentic. Having said that, considering the age, condition of the zippers, what looks like stains on the handle, I think bidding has already reached top dollar for this bag. In addition, seller's feedback isn't very good; the neutrals and negatives have to do with poor communication and follow-up with customers. One of my criticisms of the listing is that the condition isn't fully described; it just says "good condition". From the photos, there are details that should be explained.

Price is always an individual viewpoint. I'm just saying from my experience and what I've seen on eBay, this bag isn't worth much more than the current high bid. Others may disagree with me.

Dear Boxermom,

Sharing your insights is a valuable lesson for me and I am sure for other noobs so that their hard earned money doesn't get taken easily for a ride.

Your latter post confirmed what I suspected. It is wonderful that you can channel a bad experience into a meaningful purpose for helping others .

Thanks and multiple thanks in advance for all this...! :smile1:

Wow, thank you very much, ppd2!:blushing: and, you are welcome :-)

Hello ladies. Would appreciate your opinions on this bag please, especially since the seller doesnt have a massive amount of feedback. Seller says it shows sign of wear but, from the photos, it looks pretty ok to me.

Also, price seems pretty good (I got this in another color from the BV boutique, and it cost waaaay more!).

Am I missing something here? Would be grateful for your valuable insights.

Boxermom- Thanks for taking the trouble to let me know your views.

Was just wondering, any of you ladies know if there any particular reason why this bag is currently going for such a low price?

It seems awfully cheap for an authentic BV, and I'm quite curious to know why.

Thanks a lot for your views. I'm still a relatively new BV fan, and it would be great to benefit from you ladies' expertise. :D

I'm sure the seller expects some bidding to increase the price within the last 20 min. of the auction. Seller states that the bag shows signs of wear, but the photos are too general or just close-ups of the authenticity details we like to see. To show condition, and especially wear, a buyer needs to see photos of the interior to see about stains, tears, etc. You also need to see the corners and the handles since that's where the wear and tear will show first.

I would ask the seller for more specific information about where the wear is exactly, are there any odors, stains, etc. and can she/he post photos of those places. It's possible the general statement about signs of wear with no accompanying photos is keeping people from bidding it higher.

I expect this will bid higher towards the end of the auction. Look at the number of bids--and they are from a bunch of different bidders, so a lot of people are watching this bag. Then again, it may be stuck at $300--you never know. I don't see anything wrong with the bag, though.

Hopefully others will comment too.

You are very welcome, maltygirl. I'm glad you recognize that it's simply an opinion, but based on what I've learned the hard way, including my first BV being a fake from ebay, before I'd ever heard of Purse Forum.

Boxermom,

Well, they may just be opinions, but I truly believe that the honest and sincere opinions of fantastic ladies like yourself, who have far more knowledge than newbies like me, are one of the biggest reasons that tPF has become such an incredible resource in the world of designer handbags, especially when it comes to making a grand attempt at finding them for a great price! So please know that your time and without question, your opinions, are GREATLY appreciated by many!!! :urock:

Speaking of your fantastically endless knowledge ... I have another bag I'd love to get your opinion on when you get a chance! I'm fairly certain that the bag is authentic, I was just a bit puzzled by the first statement in the seller's listing, so I thought I'd see if you have any advice on this one.

A certain member hasn't posted to the forum ever since a certain counterfeit BV was removed hmmmmm:wondering. Also no more post defending counterfeiting and trying to secretly get tips on authenticating for the benefit of selling replicas. woo hoo:happydance:

While I am not the person you mentioned, can we all vow to keep this place drama free? I think this site, as the posters said above, is an important resource and I would not want to see it become any less than it is! Cause I cannot look as fabulous without your help! Just call out the weasels by name and keep the great tips coming!

Boxermom and flluffymonsters, I contacted this seller about the condition of the bag. She explained that the leather has worn off around the top of the o-rings. She sent me pictures of the o-rings. From the pictures I would say that the leather has completely worn off the top half of the o-rings. The wear may not be apparent when the bag is carried and the shoulder strap is in an upward position. However, when the bag is sitting and the shoulder strap drops, the wear will be very obvious. I decided not to bid on the bag. However, perhaps BV could repair or replace the o-rings. The seller said the corners show light wear also. Please feel free contact me if you have any questions.

Authentic. The first paragraph requesting that the listing not be removed by VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) means that seller is declaring that the item is genuine. VeRO means representatives of some manufacturers will sometimes remove listings they feel are fake or illegal in some way. For example, Coach and LV do it sometimes if a listing seems *off* to them. Sometimes they remove authentic items which is a problem for the legitimate sellers, yet leave obvious fakes up. I hope that's not too confusing. It really has nothing to do with the auction of the bag.
