This is the answer I received on my request for additional photos:

“Alina,
The number plate is A425 of 500. I'm traveling on business till tuesday next week and won't be able to get any additional pictures as my wife is traumatized by this experience as it is.”

Should I bid on it anyways and post additional photos when I receive it? If I use PayPal, and am protected against fakes…. What would you advise?

The seller is traumatized by the selling process or you asking for additional verification for a very expensive bag? That's ridiculous. You'd be stupid to bid on a bag based on a stock photo. You did the right thing to ask about it before bidding. I'm with LT on this one. Something's odd. Most of us have sold either ourselves or as I've done through consignment services and frankly expect to answer questions. A well-informed buyer is the best customer. Don't feel one ounce of guilt for asking for photos that should've been provided at the start of the listing.

Hi everyone - I am new to this forum and a BV lover. Could someone please help me authenticate this bag? Thanks so much for your help.

I'm honored to welcome you to the Purse Forum and the BV section!

This bag looks authentic to me. The top line of numbers on the white authenticity tag describe the style, leather and color; so it's possible many other bags share the same number sequence. BV isn't like Chanel which has a unique number for each bag. So, nothing to worry about. Someone in Japan has this same style and color bag. Ebano is one of BV's classic colors so there are probably many Capri totes in this color around the world.

:welcome2:

ditto! I'm not interested in the bag, but I was curious after reading about this auction, so I contacted the seller and asked for additional pictures...let's see if I get the same answer!
