I was pretty convinced it was authentic. Plus, I got it with AMEX. If I get it and it's not authentic, they'll take care of it.

The seller's photos show only one side of the white authenticity tag (sewn into the bag). We need to see the side with the number/letter code in order to authenticate. It looks like the auction just ended so you don't have the bag yet. When you receive it, please post that photo, and we'll take a look.

I see no warning signs on this bag, but we like to be as informed as possible before giving an opinion. Assuming it's authentic, it's a great deal.

I have a BV but admittedly am still no expert. However, it seems authentic. I will post pictures when I get it, for verification. Used pp and visa, so I am covered.

1. It's a large, never-used Veneta, with the mirror, so IMO the price is fair. I would also ask about any odors.

2. Without the code from the tag I can't be sure, but the color looks like Quarzo from Spring-Summer 2007.

3. It's the large size Veneta, but usually the measurements are of the body of the bag, not including the strap. So the measurements are actually about 19" wide and about 13" high. These bags slouch, especially with use, so the dimensions are approximate.

Hi Boxermom, Blueiris. I just received this bag, and is super nervous. This bag has NO tag (anywhere) or pouch with the plate. Nothing says it's a Bottega Veneta. I can only rely on seller's words about its history. I know it is very difficult to authenticate this bag w/o all the important info. I really really appreciate your great help and your feedback. Thank you !:flowers::flowers:

P.S Color is metallic, something between gold & bronze. Bag is very slouchy so is stuffed when photographed. Some leather has wear and rub-off of the metallic color.

A little nervous, first BV, purchased last night. Not sure which brown? Would appreciate your opinion on price. The serial number was hard to see (too close to the seam), but the seller sent me extra photo. She said the number she could read is 159748 VACHO 2040. Thank you for your help.

Authentic. The color is Ebano and this style is from the Resort 2006 collection.

As for price, it was an expensive bag and it apparently hasn't been used. But it's 4 years old. It's personal choice if it's worth that to you. I don't think it's an unreasonable price considering the original retail.

Thank you boxermom! I appreciate your insight. I can relax now. It is the most I have spent on a bag ... as I said, I am new to BV, but I really loved the details of the bag. Do you know if the bag can be worn over the shoulder comfortably? I believe the straps are adjustable.

Thank you thank you Boxermom :kiss:! I know the missing pouch and plus NO tag (yes, they should be at the bottom of the bag near the base). It's my own fault falling for it, the seller had already advised me on this, he did sound sincere when asking about this bag's authenticity... and given this maybe the older cabats (5-6yrs young)...Yes I might have troubles selling this bag if it is indeed authentic, or I'll just have to keep it forever :D!
