Sorry I know there aren't enough pictures to show the details to authenticate... It doesn't come with the pouch with the plate & cards, etc., so it is hard to tell any info on this bag. I bought and paid for this bag w/o coming here first, clicked the buy it now too fast because the price is too good for a cabat.

The seller claimed this was bought by him in the Palm Beach boutique approx. 5 yrs ago, when he bought it, it was the large size but now it's the medium. What color would it be (if it's authentic) ?

The seller has decent feedback, sold mostly designer clothes at pretty low price, and offers a 3 day refund policy, etc. I'm really hoping I have scored a deal. I will post more pictures when the bag is here.

Any inputs is greatly appreciated, thanks !!

If authentic, the color looks like Ebano. I think the pouch has the authenticity tag, but without it, that's a major detail we can't examine. I don't have a Cabat, but I have some doubts about what I see in the photos.

Others with Cabat knowledge, please tell us what you think.

Hi - the seller sent me mostly condition pictures, but he did inlcude the paper tag showing the code number and other side with Bottega Veneta and Made in Italy. If I knew how to send it to you I would - but you feel it's authentic, so is it necessary? thanks.

It's not necessary--I feel comfortable that this is genuine.

Thank you Boxermom for your input, Can you tell me or PM more of your doubts about this bag (based on the auction pics seller provided) so I know what to take pictures when the bag is here. I know it must be hard to authenticate this w/o the pouch since it has all the info to identify this bag.

I was looking at the auction pics and compared the stitching and leather quality to some TPFers cabats, but I'm still not sure. Is there another way to have this authenticate (will the boutique check or replace the pouch?) since w/o the pouch, tags, and all, there's isn't really much to tell about this bag.

Boxermom, I was hoping you or another of the authenticators would weigh in on this before I spoke up :smile1: On my Cabat, the tag is sewn into the bottom of the bag. I, too, have doubts about the bag that is shown in the photos. I'm not sure what to make of the color, either, based on the information about when it was originally purchased. It doesn't look like ebano to me, but it could just be my monitor or the photography/flash.

To LoveThatThing, you can update this thread with your own photos when you get it--with or without the pouch, it should be fairly easily verified, I would think.

Thanks blueiris, I will update with more photos and details when the bag arrives in a few days!

blueiris, thanks for that. For some reason I thought the tag was in the small pouch. Those who read this thread often have probably learned that I'm not that familiar with Cabats and don't own one to compare.

Since it's such a high priced BV, the style is often faked. I suppose it could happen but it seems very unlikely to buy a Cabat for retail, as seller says, and then lose track of the pouch.

Hi - could you please authenticate. seller states there are no paper tags. thanks.

Authentic vintage. This vintage has no authenticity tags sewn inside and if it came with any paper cards, they would be long gone. I have several vintage bags and none came with any tags or cards. We rely on other details to authenticate.

item: BOTTEGA VENETA Exotic Rare Karung Lizard Satchel $6800.

Your thoughts regarding authenticity, condition and price would be very much appreciated. Is Karung a rare type of lizard? Thank you :D

I see no warning signs on this bag; it looks authentic to me. However, I'm not at all expert about exotic leathers. Other members here know a lot more than I do, including baggiana and jburgh, to name two.

I hope others will help with this one.
