I contacted the seller and hope to get a few new pictures from her. Thanks for the quick response. I am very excited. I was trying to decide between a Balenciaga Day or a BV. But I think the lovely soft leather is going to win me over. Plus, I am not much of a "hardware" girl.

Hi. Miss_FancyBags! I thank you and Boxermom for your responses. After the first e-mail fom the eBay seller promising me the photos of the tags, I never got them. The seller is a huge outfit. Maybe I'll get them eventually, maybe not. It may not be worth the seller's time even if the bag is legitimate. In the meantime, I have moved on. I am posting (in the correct format) information on a pre-owned bag I saw for sale.

I hope chat is not forbidden in this thread. I just wanted to announce that I took the plunge and bought my first Bottega Veneta bag-from a retail store that advertizes on The Purse Forum! It is my second designer bag; I had the first authenticated on TPF. (It was a Prada.) Thank you very much, ladies. I bought a coral, large, intecciato hobo.

From what I can see, it looks promising. I don't think it's the tea color, but I could be mistaken. It would be helpful if the seller could provide a photo of the BV imprint, which should be easily available for a photo (it's inside the bag--see post #1 for more details).

We still need to see the nameprint, but the color is cinnamon - and it, indeed, looks promising.

The seller eventually got back to me. I had already purchased another bag by then, though. I thought I would post this picture and let others know that she has posted both sides of the tag on the listing. I would still like to know if the bag is authentic! If it is, maybe some other Bottega Veneta fan would be interested in it. I loved it! I have bought an intrecciato hobo at full price, but am still curious!

Hi, in my opinion, it's authentic. However, instead of it being the newer aquilone style (i.e. a current "showroom bag"), it looks like the older style with the glazed calf? leather. :smile1:

P.S. this predates my color code list, so I'm not sure of the color name.

Hi, i am buying this BV hobo from a ebay seller: gadital and noted that the certificate tag was quite different from other BV bag:

the serial number has overlapping the wording. can anyone advise me if this is authentic?
