The link says *item not found*, so maybe after it was sold, they removed the listing entirely? Can you post photos of the bag here for us to examine? Post #1 of this thread lists the photos we need. Basically clear photo of the exterior, the font (stamped imprint inside the bag), the authenticity tag-both sides (found inside the pocket in many BV bags) and the zipper pull. If it's a vintage bag there may not be a white authenticity tag.

Welcome! I know it can appear confusing here in the beginning.

This looks genuine to me--a classic Nero large Veneta! Wonderful choice.

I think I misunderstood and thought you wanted additional verification, but doloresmia already told you that it's authentic.

Hello experts, I just received a Bottega bag that I purchased from ebay today and I'm pretty sure it's a fake. I sent the seller a message right away but she insists it's authentic. I'm pretty sure this is going to turn into an ebay claim and I'm wondering if you know whether a Bottega store would confirm for me that this bag is a counterfeit bag. If so, I would like to get something from them in writing to protect myself. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for your help.

I was so excited about getting a Cocker bag for a good price that I skipped the step of authenticating, really stupid, I know. I am so upset by this...

To the best of my knowledge, there is not a store, BV boutique or authorized outlet who will authenticate for you. For that, you will have to go to an authorized authenticator.

Yes, it is unwise to purchase anything without either knowing the product well enough to make a judgement for yourself, or bring it here. That said, many of us have done the same thing. If you had brought it here first, we would have told you that the seller does not have enough pictures to authenticate. If you already have the bag in your possession you can take some pictures and post them here and we will be happy to make an assessment.

Thank you so much, you saved me an unnecessary trip to the BV boutique. I will take appropriate photos of the bag and post tonight when I get home.

Hi, I don't see any warning signs and it looks good :smile1:; however, you may want to ask for a picture of the front of the authenticity tag. That picture plus others such as zipper pulls, etc (see post 1 of this thread) can help us give a more informed opinion. ;)
