that being said, i have never seen a cabat in this color although i think this is a BV color and there are markers here of an authentic cabat. other authenticators might be more familiar. btw this seller does not appear to have a history of selling high end luxury goods. that last fact alone does not mean this is fake, it just means do proper due diligence before you buy.

the bag looks good, make sure you do your due diligence on the seller and start communications. they don't seem to have a record of selling luxury goods. doesn't necessarily mean anything, but always good to communicate and make sure you pay with paypal and credit card so you are protected.

Hello Ladies,

I am interest to buy a french flap wallet from a auction. I got the pics of the wallet from seller which look good. But no pic of tag, she claims that the serial number of the tag had been fade. I would like to know does the serial number get fade? I got a BV bag for 3 year. the number of the tag still clear. Please Help. TIA.

Hi, it looks like Noce, not Ebano.

This one appears to have the auth tag inside the pouch, not sewn into the bottom of the bag. I would feel uncomfortable authenticating this one because the pouches could be switched from bag to bag. This does not mean that the bag is not authentic, just that I am unable to authenticate it with certainty.

Let's see what others say or if they've had dealings with this seller! :smile1:

I agree i don't think this is ebano. I am decently comfortable this is authentic, although agree with Miss_FB that the authenticity tag location is not normal for a cabat. This seller is considered a good seller of H.

I have seen bags that are several years old and the tags are still clear. If the seller will not show you a photo of the tag, I would not take a chance on this wallet. There will always be future wallets to buy that can be checked here for authenticity.

Thank you (and to Miss_ Fancybags as well). this website is most helpful. I emailed the seller and inquired about the location of the tag. She said that her lilac cabat has the tag sewn in the bottom, but this one has it in the pouch and she bought it at BV Rome Italy. I do believe this is the medium cabat, correct? Decisions, decisions!

OMG! I can't believe this! I was just talking to Bryan about this color, it is NOCE in Nappa UMBRIA!! It is divine! BV made the first batch of Noce Cabats in Nappa UMBRIA, different from classic Nappa because the color varies, it is richer than classic Nappa. Grandmommie has a Roma in Noce Nappa Umbria, I will ask her to post a picture in the color reference thread.
