IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please see post #1 for complete Balenciaga authentication rules. All requests must be posted in this thread. Authentications are not done via private message or in any other thread.

See the link below for examples of the photos needed and the format they should be in (clear, close up, forward-facing, no angles, right way up, no bends in tags).

https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/required-pics-for-balenciaga-authentication.741442/

A link to the listing in question is required.

It is an authenticator’s right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format. If the listing you are interested in is missing photos it is your responsibility to request them from the seller prior to posting in this thread.

Thanks and be well!

Hello -it’s great to see this thread is active! It’s been awhile since I’ve been in here, but so glad to see the OG girlies here and keeping the authenticating game alive!!

I purchased the bag recently, would love to get feedback on authentication. Please see the seller’s pics. Most of my collection has the backside tags in lower case “made in italy”. However, this gsh city is “Made in Italy”. The leather is plushie and has the Balenciaga bag scent (if this makes sense) lol. I’ve seen some of the bbags in almost perfect condition which I’m amazed, it’s been over 15 years (I believe) since the giant hardwares were released.

In advance, thank you for your feedback!! 🙏🏻

Hello! Could anyone please tell me if this bag is genuine? I know nothing about designer bags but won this in a auction lot but not sure if its real or not. Many thanks

Hello. I am new here and I need your help to identify, understand some things about my balenciaga city. I just bought a bag from Vestiare and I’m really confused. This is the first balenciaga bag I ever own, so I have no idea how it should look and feel . The leather feel like almost sticky , not as I imagined it to be- smooth and pleasant to the touch. When I tried to wipe it down , as anyone would do to a 20 year old bag, the color started to come off on my baby wipe , and then I started to inspect it and I found a lot of …. Yellow beneath my black balenciaga . I don’t know if this is supposed to happen , is normal, or is this a horrible fake . Please help .

Thanks for that. I knew it was too good to be true. I noticed it didn't have black stitching on the serial number plate so thought it might be fake. What else is the give away that its not genuine?
We can not give away too much, but you did answer one of your questions (ie the black stitching). Just by comparing some of the things we ask to see (rivet, bale) to that of an authentic bag you can pick out the differences.

if it helps, the website is here with more pictures:

Hi! I hope one of you would help me authenticate the second hand bag I bought :) it's the pompom and I believe it's authentic, but I can't find the codes on the tag and I'm not an expert at all! So would love your opinion on this.
