The bales and hook colors and shapes are not identical. Could be a factory oopsie because it otherwise looks fine to me. There aren't a whole lot of concrete to go off of. the tag looks good, but that only proves that the tag is authentic since it's not permanently attached to anything. Deferring to the experts, but I think it's probably fine.

I'm cautiously thinking authentic. Bal did use those engraved zipper heads very early on and the tag looks correct to me. Maybe an 03 mastic? My question is about the leather strip in the interior pocket, does anyone know if that's a correct detail for an early WE? @Deco ?

I am really surprised that it is an authentic zipper head, my heart dropped as soon as I saw it, I thought for sure it was a fake bag.

I second this. Looks authentic, and I agree about 03 Mastic. My Mastic has that same zipper head.
