Aaarrggh! So sorry about this. Atlantis1982 is absolutely right. This is a bad counterfeit.
Contact the site immediately and tell them the bag is fake, and to refund your payment.
If you need immediate info to give them, point out that the bag is actually trying to replicate the "First," but has the model #115748 on the silver tag, which denotes the City.
Thank you so very much for your exceptional kindness and help, and for sharing your expertise, Conni618!! I am deeply appreciative!! :smile1: I wanted to communicate to you that after persevering, I was thankfully able to receive a refund today and have the transaction cancelled. Thanks so much again for assisting me!!

Can you not argue the case that, since they claim to have in-house inspectors who vet everything for authenticity, they should cover all costs if you produce an expert report that it's counterfeit? Their website states clearly that they check carefully for fakes. IMO you should be quite proactive in getting all of your costs back once you have a written confirmation that the bag is a fake.
Thank you so much for your kindhearted, helpful post, muchstuff!! You are absolutely right and thankfully I was able to file a dispute and persevere, and receive a refund prior to the fake bag being shipped out from France. I am most grateful for this and for all of your support and kindness. :smile1::heart:

Thank you so much for your compassion, empathy and loving support, muchstuff!!:hugs: I feel immensely relieved and thankful beyond words since this could have dragged out interminably, and it truly is so stressful and onerous having your vital funds tied up (and consequently your peace of mind too...lol!). By the way, I just sent you a friend request. :D

Thank you for your kind words...Conni618 and Atlantis1982 are really the stars here, we're lucky to have a wealth of knowledge to fall back on!

I'm so pleased to see that it worked out well for you.

Some of us who help on this thread have experienced that heart sinking realization. Sometimes it's not mostly the stress of throwing away money that hurts, but the loss of our dream bag.

You wouldn't believe how many fake 04's are still in circulation. I actually bought one, returned it, and bought the same one from a different seller, two years later. It's called, "Blinded by love." :shame:
