Hi girls, I am not familiar with scarf authentication at all. I have bought this scarf from a very reliable source and would make me very unhappy if I found out that it was fake. I do not wear it at all and posted it on ebay, today received a note from another ebayer telling me that it is a fake scarf. Would you, please, tale a look, and let me know if there are any red flags....the comment was that all McQueen scarves are made in Italy, and this one is made in China.....true?

Here is the auction , MY selling auction

thanks a lot in advance for any help you can offer :)

I cannot say anything on the authenticity, but I can say that this is a McQ scarf as in the diffusion line of Alexander McQueen and pre 2010 all McQ pieces were made in Italy, but now are made all over the world Italy China Romania and a few other places so made in China is not a flag for a fake.

My only McQ scarf (hummingbirds) is made in China. All of my Alexander McQueen scarfs are made in Italy. I cannot authenticate yours, but being "made in China" does not deem it a fake. I agree with Jamamcg.

Here's a sold listing that looks like your scarf (only says "Imported" - to me means "China" :smile1: ):

Anyone?! I guess I´m not lucky, as both my questions regarding AM scarves have no answer... :rain:
I find you very brusque. A little politeness goes a long way. There are no full-time professional authenticators here. We all take time out our day to peruse the site and help one another as we can. If you have patience someone will get to your request (hopefully a bit more polite). If you don't get an anwer it may mean that no one has an answer. If that is the case, you may have a more positive outcome with a independent 3rd party authentication service.

Thank you! I was thinking this but couldn't really think how to put it politely.

As Soleil says there are no full time official people here, I for one am a single parent who is working full time and my daughter has been ill, so no, I'm not trawling the site looking to authenticate. If an email lands in my inbox from this thread then I'll pop on, but otherwise not so much right now.

Also if you want an authentication put up decent pics.

So sorry! Was never my intention and maybe I´m used to other threads where authenticators go often and when they do not know they ask another authenticator to have a look. They do net let anyone without an answer. So I´m so sorry if you had no hesition in offending me. Anyway, thanks a lot for taking your time helping others. I really appreciate that. I just did not appreciate your quick judgement of myself...

The same answer to you:

And I wish your daughter get better soon.
