Hey Ladies, I won this 3.1 Lim and it arrived yesterday. But I didn't know about this forum until today and some of the stuff in here SCARES me! Did I get the real thing!?!?

My major concern is that on Nordstrom and other retailers there is a stitch down the middle of the inner lining. The purse I bought does not have this stitch.

I just bought from this seller and now I'm worried it's a fake. The "leather" doesn't quite smell right--it doesn't smell like my AW's or Bal City. I'm ordering directly from PL now since Jade is back in stock and will be comparing the leathers. For anyone that's an expert on Pashlis, here is what I just bought. Let me know if you can see anything that might point to it being a fake.

It looks like a fake to me!
If you go to the Phillip Lim site , you will notice some differences between the two bags.
You should send it back and request a refund from the seller.
It has happened to me once with a Marc Jacobs bag , but the seller gave my money back!
Im sure you are going to get it back too.

You got lucky Manellita! I contacted my seller and was told there was no refunds. This all makes me so mad!!!!

If you get this bag authenticated and it is indeeed fake, file a SNAD with ebay.
Then send the proof of authenticity (or fakeness) to the seller, ebay and paypal.
If you went thru ebay and payed thru paypal, you have buyers protection.
You can get your money back. It is aggravating and time consuming but worth it in the end.

I have to admit, it looks pretty real to me because of the following:
-Scalloped leather edges are from the 'classic' pashli.
-Rings for the zippers pulls have the cutout indentation.
-Classic pashlis do have the small holes on the front strap holders

The only thing different, is that the classic pashli with scalloped leather edges normally has the ball-chain pull. But that's about it.

You should check if the zipper pull rings had a faint 3.1 phillip lim etched into them. (Atleast my real one does, that I JUST received).

I think it looks genuine!

Thanks heyyeah. I know the ones currently listed online are a different version of this bag. Really, the only thing that has thrown me is the leather. Sorry to be a broken record here...

And it actually did come with the metal zipper pulls in a small envelope. But the bag came with the leather ones on it. And not wanting to alter the bag in any way, I didn't change them out.

When I get home I will look for the etching.

Hi. I have the AW2011.. I am not sure when this was made but the color seems to be AW. Thus, I am going to think it is fake. As mentioned, the 2011 classics have chain zips. Additionally, my leather is much more "gradiented" than yours... you may see what I mean in the current season's photos. As far as I know this is the first year the PL has non chain zips. The gold is also throwing me off a bit as it seems rose-ish but maybe it's just the photo.
