Bump.. I'm thinking about purchasing a marylebone tote for work. Those of you who own it or have seen them IRL how is the quality? A your bag holding up well? Are they worth the investment? TIA ;)

I have the Marylebone Tote in Monochrome with the interchangeable handles in Neon Pink and Aqua, I purchased mine in March this year and have loved the way I can change handles to compliment my outfits. It's beautifully crafted and very hardwearing. I also purchased the travel wallet, passport cover, key fob and luggage tags at the same time. In fact, I'm so happy with my Aspinal collection that I've just bought the travel set for my step-daughter for her birthday.

I am hoping to add to my Aspinal haul over the next few months!

I actually stumbled upon this thread because I am thinking about buying a second one and Googled it to see what new options are out there.

I have had my Marylebone since Christmas 2014. (I think around the time it came out and pre-Pippa? Ha!) I initially only wanted it because I used to live in Marylebone so I felt like I had to have the bag. Ha!

But, I have to say, even without the name I am so glad I got it. It has held up very well, overall, and has been used heavily (including as a carry on for Transatlantic travel more than once). I have been impressed by the quality. My only very minor complaint (and it is minor) is that the bottom of the sides has become a little bit slouchy over time and isn't quite as structured as it used to be, but it is leather and I do not baby my bags. It still looks great and here in the U.S. you will not see anyone else carrying it, so it is a great choice if you want something a little unique. In fact, I get stopped all of the time when I carry it and asked what kind of bag it is and where it can be purchased. (Just happened yesterday at Saks, actually.)

So, for anyone still on the fence, it is a great purchase that will stand the test of time. Hope this helps!

If you like the look of an Aspinal bag I say go for it. My Aspinal briefcase is one of my favourite pieces in my collection. The quality is good and the aesthetic of the bag is fantastic with an elegant, retro feel. And the price was so reasonable (£695 and I bought before Christmas and got 10% off). I considered a Prada briefcase at about twice the price and I wouldn't trade it for my Aspinal. I also considered the Moynat juste a temps but the price of that is upwards of £2000 and Moynat told me that the bag would likely scratch. I really didn't want to spend that kind of money on something that wouldn't hold up, and also at the moment they didn't have any in black. My holy grail bag is an Hermès Kelly depeche but that model isn't being made by Hermès for the time being. Aspinal may not have the cachet so some other brands but the quality and design of some of their pieces is outstanding. I have had a poor experience of owning this brand. I had a purse on which the zip broke within weeks, and a briefcase on which the stitching gave way after only a few months of normal use. I'm not heavy on my stuff either. Therefore I wouldn't consider buying Aspinall again.

I want to buy the Marylebone Tech in Black?? One of my friends lives in London and she told me that it is very popular there and since Pippa uses it, its getting even more popular. But I think the price is bit high - for around 1200 EUR I can also get a LV or something. How is the quality? Why I want to buy it, is that nobody has it, not like a bag from LV or Prada where you can see it everywhere.

I have 6 Aspinal items and they are all beautiful in design and quality. As far as being expensive compared to LV, they actually source their leather from the same manufacturer according to the SA in the Bluewater store. Also most of their items are hand finished.
Would defiantly recommend if you want something unique and high quality. X

I love the quality of Aspinal bags and I would say go for it. But keep a look out for their sales as most of their handbags do go down in price so if you are on a budget it may be worth getting a bag then. If you sign up to their website also, they may have occasional free engraving or free shipping.

Went to an Aspinal store yesterday and fell in love...i am a Mulberry fan but have fallen out of love with the brand in recent years and the new stuff is just a laughable disaster so wont be buying anymore!!!!
Aspinal bags look feel and smell like mulberry used to in its golden years..at much more reasonable prices too...some fab thick leather and simple classic styles..i love them

I think items that go in the sale are fairly limited in styles and numbers but can be 40-50% off its a style and colour you want
