Hi TE, just wondering about the Plum Jelly Moving On Up bag I just got. The seller said it's Crunch (not Lux) and I haven't seen Plum Jelly anywhere in current items for sale since I've been looking at Tanos (which is only about a month!!). Would it be Spring '09? or earlier? Thanks.
Hi, I'm a die hard Coachie that recently bought two Coach bags that everyone keeps thinking look like Tano bags. Got me thinking that maybe I would like a Tano!
What would be a good first bag for a gal that likes thick, chewy leather and large size bags? I'm open to any colors. Where to buy?? I had never even heard of Tano until recently and do not even think I've see one IRL.
Oh, I bought the Cambridge hobo and satchel from coach if you are wondering what bags I was talking about. Here are pics.
haha thats funny I can see some similarity there.. more so on the right bag, though.
How about a boogie bucket or a Lingo? You cant go wrong there. Try one and see how you like it IRL- just make sure that you buy from a reputable dealer with a good return policy since you are a Tano virgin.
I'm really not familiar with coach (never owned one)
But what I can tell you is that a bag doesn't have to be heavy to be good, and that one of the many great qualities of Tano's bags is their light weight-ness, if thats a word! Only the Tumbleweed bags are heavy (well, heavy to me- Im used to Tano bags weighing under 2 lbs!)
Great, thank you! I've been looking around and seem to prefer the chamois type leather...soft and matte versus the crunchy leather. The tumbleweed leather seems very close to the Coach leather that I collect, so I may start there as well. Thanks again!
I feel so stoopid TE. When I posted my q the other day about my new Burlesque Show in deep ocean, I never even looked at your sig! lol. I didn't even notice it when you gave me an answer!!! Guess that shows how new I am to Tano! Just thought I'd let you in on that.
BTW, I just love it. Obviously I decided to keep it.
^^haha clutched- that happens with newbies sometimes
shezarealgem, tumbleweed is a rugged & distressed washed buffalo hyde- I dont know that coach has anything remotely like it, but you would know better than me!
Coach did a really thick vintage leather in their anniversary Legacy line a few years back. It had tons of varioation and grain and was super thick and matte. I wonder if it is similar??? Here are two of my bags that have the vintage leather, does it seem similar? Thanks!
