They dont have the same stuff on their website that they have in their store... you have to call 5F (5th floor.. the young, trendy department) at bergdorfs in NYC and ask for help. If they tell you what style #s they have in stock in orange you can look them up on Tano's website to see what the styles look like.

TE

Thanks again...I so appreciate your time and help!! :flowers:

TE...just purchased some Lexol from MHB for a Tano spa day...I know it is only for crunch, but since I am a newbie to Lexol, do I need to make sure to not get any on the trim??

TIA!

No worries- its safe on aberdeen. Apply very liberally to a soft rag and rub it gently and evenly all over your bag. Repeat as needed until leather is completely saturated with the conditioner. It will look dark when its wet but will return to its original color once dry. Reapply whenever your bag looks dry/hungry!

Definitely not for pre fall/ fall 2.

Tano's next collection (pre spring? resort? dont know what they are calling it yet) will be shown in NYC at a trade show August 2-4

Feel free to ask me questions about that collection after the show...

Hey TE! I just bought this Tano bag from Ebay and the seller said it was from Bergdorf's 5F edition. can you please identify the style for me? The color looks like Espresso and the leather is quite soft.

Hi, TE!
I just purchased a grape minilisa from a very reputable ebay seller with 100% positive feedback and over 7,000 transactions, but the grape minilisa has several differences from the blueberry one I already have (it was purchased new at an authorized retailer).

Here's the link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370224251404&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:US:1123

The differences I've noticed are pretty subtle (not noticeable in the auction pics at all), but they stand out to me in person:
--hardware is slightly bigger on the grape, including the ring on the sides and the studs on the strap.
--The leather on the grape feels stiffer, but I don't know what to make of that b/c my blueberry was in the store for a while before I got it, so maybe it softened up there, and the few times I've carried it? (Just got it a couple weeks ago)
--On one of the side pockets on the grape, the orange lining sticks up past the zipper when opened.
--In the bottom of the bags, when I feel at the bottom of the lining, I feel a much bigger strip of leather in the bottom seam of the grape than in the blueberry.
--Finally, the seams on the grape around the side pockets are much bigger, and they look less "finished" at the top than the blueberry.

So I guess my question is whether these types of things are normal variations in the bags, whether slight hardware changes may have been made from season to season, whether these things are all a factor of a bag's not being broken in yet, or whether I should be questioning an ebay powerseller with such a high feedback rating when I'm only just becoming familiar with the bags.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there

Im sorry but I dont recognize that particular style offhand... it may have been a special cut for BG.

It appears to be a brusciato brown crunch leather bag from Spring or Fall 2007.

Hi tarheelgirl1

Honestly I wouldnt worry about slight variations in the product... these bags are made by hand by human beings the old fashioned way.

I guarantee the grape will turn smooshy when you use it. Condition it with lexol as needed- grape is a thirsty color !
