hi TE! how will the wines/garnets for fall09 compare to last year's ruby? i think they're the same velvet leather, no?

Ruby was a velvet color from Fall 2008. It was a dark red. Garnet is a dark red crunch color for Fall 2009 that sort of similar. Wine is fuschia-like plush color for Summer 2008.

Lastly, any word on the ETA for the Berry Blue Boogie? Thanks in advance.

Again, that would depend upon when the retailer placed their order. The first shipment will be arriving in stores this month for those retailers that ordered back in August. If the retailer placed their order after that they might not get their shipment until March or April.

Any chance of seeing a Beach Chicklit? I keep shifting what colors I want since Tano has such glorious choices!

As far as I know thats not an option. ( At the moment, at least!) But you know what- it would get terriibly dirty being handled so much. I dont think a beach wallet would wear well, anyway. Its a delicate color that needs a lot of care.

Really? Thanks for the info. Sounds like not the right color for me then :p since I drop everything. It's so beautiful.

"to the top" was a cut to order spring 2009 bag. Here is the link to view it on tano's website:
http://www.tanobag.com/detail.cfm?se...0TOP&makebuy=M I'm betting that it shipped to stores with contrast trim instead of dyed to match trim (as shown in the stock pic) though.

What does "cut to order" mean? Do the stores just see models of bags they like and order them special? Does it mean that "To The Top" isn't one of the models that Tano is going to make more of for the season? BTW, the trim is also dyed to match (and it's loverly).

hi TE, this may be premature, but do you have any idea what the fall green(s) will be? Like Voodoo loves her blues, I am a green gal...I am contemplating the green apple color but like something a little more "lime". I have a lawn and an avocado from last year, and don't know whether to buy a GA now or to hold off and see what the fall greens are. TIA!

Hi Joan

Let me explain-

Basically, when Tano shows a bag at their trade show and it doesn't book well, they make whatever amount of units they sold, then they drop the bag from the line and don't show it again at any future shows or produce ant more of it.

As for the dyed to match trim, wow! You got something special. I was told that the trim was switching back to black or brown on the Spring AND Fall bags on crunch bags. But with Tano, nothing ever surprises me. There are always exceptions to every rule. haha.

Hi WM!

The Fall green in crunch will be teal. The Summer/transitional Fall in Plush wil be pesto. Those are the only two greens that I know of right now. At the next trade show in May, there may be more materials/colors for Fall.
