I am half-Filipino, half-Irish and have a light olive skin tone, with yellow undertones. I have always, ALWAYS been drawn to jewel tones and really saturated colors and they look fabulous on my skin. Pastels are my ENEMY and I will never buy them. :nogood: I look ill when I wear them.

Try rich royal blues, turquoise, coral, kelly green, mango orange, mustard yellow (should have orange undertones and not straight yellow), blood red, toffee, rich purples and of course mix in whites, greys and blacks as you wish. Don't be scared to play with colors!!! I adore contrasts and complimenting and a usual outfit for me would be:
-a black or white pair of skinny jeans
-a blouse that POPs like kelly green, deep purple or royal blue
-a pair of leopard flats

And everything together looks so rich, marries well and compliments the skin tone. AND it's interesting!

Hi everyone,

Sorry for the late reply from me...my Mac went sickly and I had to send it in for repair. So I was without my laptop for a week....wanted to die! Anywho, got it back a couple of days ago! I'm a happy camper once again!

Thanks for all the replies and input....really appreciate it. So I went shopping and tried on a few light tan/khaki colored summer dresses...some linen, some voile. Most of my summer dresses are floral, white, and bright/saturated colors. I've seen so many girls wear linen and voile dresses in a light tan color or khaki and they look great in it. I'm a lighter Asian by the way with yellow undertones, so I depend on makeup to give me color and life so I don't look like a walking corpse. Anyways, getting back to the dresses....I cannot decide whether it's for me....can't quite put my finger on it. But when I put a bright pink or red cardi over it, that seemed to help...but I can't wear a cardi over the dress all day especially in piping hot weather. >_<

Hi
I totally understand about not being sure about the light tan/khaki colours. I think they may be too close to your natural skin tone so I would try a khaki that is more 'olive green' or 'safari green' rather than the beige/tan spectrum. These green tones are a great backdrop for rich coral pinks and oranges accessories.
Post pictures please! :D
