Pretty-Please,
Did you have an alar reduction with dr shah? i am looking into him for my revision and that would include an alar reduction. please email me at [email protected] because i dont check this site much, and i dont know if it emails me when people reply to my post? i am new here :)

Hi, I am a newbie to this forum but have been following the forum (and this thread in particular) for a while..I must say this thread is fabulous. Thanks to generous people who were willing to spare their time sharing their experiences for the benefit of others :smile1:

I am seriously considering to do autologous rhinoplasty around beginning/mid of January with Dr. Hsu. Anyone interested to go too?

I bought my plane ticket to Seoul and I am going for nose and chin augmentations at Migo Clinic. I have a friend who will accompany me, she's Korean.

Anyone going to Korea this December? I am flying from Dec 25th at PM and arrive in Korea on Dec 27th at 7:00PM. I am staying there for 2 weeks

I am Filipino with an average nose and high cheekbones. To you ladies, you probably want my natural nose if you have a flat nose. My nose is defined and sharp from side view but I still lack height on the bridge. However, my desire is to look more Eurasian.

I am not some guy who thinks surgery alone will make me overall attractive. I work my ass out in the gym to have a nice body. I am trying to maximize my beauty.

Although, I've never been confident about my looks. I told myself I will get a surgery thousand times. However, I am feeling weak about my decision. Maybe because I am getting a lot of recognition from girls? If that's the case, I don't want to change that. Very hard to tell

I just got reply from Dr.Nara saying that he's actually doing autologous rhinoplasty now (with ear cartillage). Any comments on this? I am confused >.< I was initally planning to go for Dr.Hsu in Taiwan but now I am considering Dr.Nara too. Please share your thoughts!

message for: SOLUS,

hi! i am so eager to go to korea for surgery this winter too! (but this is not a rash decision, trust me :push: )

is the clinic you mentioned suggested by your korean friend (therefore is supposed to have good reputation with korean people?)? i am very in a bind because i neither speak korean nor know many korean people and also i would be planning to go alone... (i am asian though.) altogether, these things make it really hard to plan and go through with it... if i do go, it will likely be after the new year...

i hope that you can reply and let me know more! thx u.

(sorry about this kind of messaging but i don't have pm yet)

message for cottoncandy77

nice to meet you :smile1:, heehee! but unfortunately i have to be back in my home country in the month of february :shucks: -- i would love to go with someone, keep eachother company (maybe even see some city attractions if possible - or scare some people :p :yahoo:, haahaa!), provide support for one another, and things like that -- it would be nice! but my possible time for leaving the country would be early to late january :shucks: -- i might be able to stay for the first 3-5 days of february though... i have just emailed bk clinic but haven't gotten a reply yet and think that maybe their inbox fills up very quickly, haahaa! and i'm a little concerned about communication... because i don't want my nose to be too "slope-y" from the profile (like a ski jump, i think they say, LOL) -- i like more straight even though i am a girl... which clinics are you considering?

good luck in your search and maybe even we'll manage to arrange some buddy system, heehee :smile1:!

Hi Miffy can u PM me your email address? if you can't PM (sometimes if your new user account u cant pm) then do u mind putting your email down for me to talk to u?

Hi jenny, I was very close to booking a flight out to the Philippines. From having contacted Dr. Lorenzo, he seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about rhinoplasties. I asked him for a detailed description of his plan of operation for my revision, and he was able to tell me exactly what he planned to do to improve my nose. I'm not sure if he is as skilled performing the actual surgery as he is in describing the procedure, but I was definitely impressed by his before and after photos.

Have you heard positive reviews about Dr. Tseng? I am now planning on having my revision done by him, and if I do, it will be not even two full weeks from now! I'm starting to get nervous! You're probably wondering why I decided to go with Dr. Tseng, and that's because he uses autologous material, and Dr. Lorenzo doesn't anymore because he says that there was a high resorption rate when he performed rhinoplasties using autologous material. Dr. Tseng's preferred method for my revision is using Goretex with ear cartilage for the tip, but when I get there, I will try to see if he can and will do rib. I'm not sure about the permanence of Goretex, and I want something will last and not need revision again anytime soon! I read that after a while, Goretex will start to look fake and have my skin will have a shrink wrap effect around the implant. I have thick skin, though, so I'm not sure if that will be a problem.

When will you be going to Dr Tseng?

I will see him end of November.

You are doing the smart thing by not rushing. I have researched for like 3 years to find a good clinic. I have been a silent reader here at Purse Forum, Soompi Forums, and Singapore Expats. Migo Clinic doctors do not speak English, but I have a Korean friend who will guide me and tell them what I desire. I am happy to have her on my side. I chose Migo Clinic because it's popular in Korea and it's reputable from what I've read from other forums. The other clinics mentioned here in this forum and other forums are horrible. I.E. OZ Clinic is not popular, and BK clinic has a lot of unsatisfied patients.
I have booked myself at Marriott with an Associate Discount.

Moreover, I am Filipino. Instead of going to Philippines, I chose Korean doctors because they are way more experienced in nose augmentations.

Let me tell you what I've researched.
Japanese doctors are good. Their incision techniques are very accurate and they do perfections just like Japanese cars. However their prices are high like U.S. So, Japanese people tend to go Seoul because they're cheaper. After years and years, Korean became more innovative in plastic surgery. They use a lot of lasers in cosmetic. Japanese surgeons are good and conservative but their surgery are very traditional (no lasers).

Comparing Japanese doctors to Korean doctors are tough. Philippines has a lot of years to catch up. I don't know about Taiwanese doctors.

My best friend and his Korean wife told me Korean doctors are one of the best plastic surgeons in the world they are comparable to Middle Eastern doctors.

Good luck if you are planning to get a surgery. Let me know if you are going to get one this fall. Save on a hotel cost?

Ok everybody, if you are undecided about getting a surgery, ask yourself, " what is my desire?" Do you want a lot of drastic change and beautiful at the same time? If yes, prepare to get attention from your friends and other people who know you. This is my choice. I want them to see the new of me.

If you decide to have a conservative procedure i.e. undetectable surgery, is your money worth spending on this procedure?

Step 2. Find a good surgeon in the U.S., India, China, and South Korea.
How many cases have they performed. I know Korean and Japanese doctors have more experience in nose augmentations. We don't have many Asian doctors in U.S. Dr. Lee is good but how many cases did he have. He is very expensive.

Step 3. Cost. Doctor A is very reputable and his work is amazing, but can you afford it?
Doctor B, his office look like crap but descent number of cases and he is inexpensive. Will you take a risk because of the attractive price?
