Regarding Dawn,
looking at her blog photos, it looks like silicone.
looking at the fhm pic, and the pic I posted, it looks like goretex.

totally agree with you... it's much easier to transform a person with potential, than someone ugly.... except on those swan makeover shows... but I still think they're not that great afterward... but can be deemed as pretty by some people.

silicone is NOT visible if the correct shape and size are chosen, under any lighting.
goretex is only seen in some senior citizens but, you cannot predict if your skin will be that thin later on. Dr. Chuang performed on some senior citizens with this stuff because some of them request it, and when you stretch the skin, you can see white.

Jung is still the most well known for goretex in Korea.

Frankly, I don't believe that Dawn's photos aren't photoshopped. I think the blog pics probably still look like her, but she has altered her nose and other facial parts <-- for sure... because pics taken of her elsewhere have small differences than her blog pics.

I mean her nose looks COMPLETELY different in these pics. No makeup can do that...
I don't know... I'm interested in what you all think.

Personally, this is my opinion. His friends did not go to Jung. From what I hear, he is one of the top surgeons for nose in Korea... and works with the worst revision cases and manages to fix the impossible sometimes. I can't imagine he would make such a mistake.

Neither can I ! I was & am devastated how soft gortex is compared to silicone and lost the firm straight bridge that I used to have! Are you aware of all of Dr Jung's work ? Have you met with some of his patients at least? I did and i learned a whole lot that I cannot possibly have learnt if I were not physically present to witness some of the best and worst cases done by the lovely man. If the honest man can apologise to me in writing for admitting his mistakes (slight deviated and somewhat too wide), I don`t see any reason to doubt my own judgment at all.
Anyway, any good doctor should know that you have to make the nose extra big... because when the internal scarring happens, it contracts like shrink wrap. If it looks good early on like what you said about kwell's friends... then when it shrinks, there can be some damaging results.

This must be from Toriumi's website - I have read about it too BUT ... this goes for REDUCTION rhinoplasty cases mostly, NOT AUGMENTATION where one builds up a nose not removing structural support causing weakening and collarpse. With each surgery, the nose is weaken and many surgery fail because of the forces of contracture post operative.

Goretex does not keep shrinking and shrinking. It just happens in the first few months, that's why noses seem really high at first with goretex. The aesthetic advantage of goretex is you can add a lot more height with it than you can with silicone, without risking extrusion, visibility.
True just that one has to re-open the nose again and experience the entire post operative effects again! Bummer!

I know a lot of this stuff, because I research a lot. I read a lot of medical studies, and online papers.

Good, tell me .... why do people use Gortex instead of Silicone or even autologous cartilage? What are the negative aspects of Gortex that people have experienced that you know of?

I would like to learn something new.....

All I can gather is that Dawn does not look the same as her blog's photos - you would have realised that those are terribly animated with overly wide eyes, pinched nose etc... if you compare to the single shot that was posted earlier by someone, gosh.... that nose is so much smaller with less height etc.... in fact, it looks more natural. AS for her eyes, I doubt they are as wide in person ... TRUST.

PS: Why look stunning on photos when one is less than attractive in person say being naturally photogenic?

Dawn's makeup artist should be fired. her nose makeup looks so unatural and obvious to know that there are two lines on the sides of her nose. she definitely did rhinoplasty. her nose after the surgery looks pretty, it looks more like a Caucasian nose.I'm sure it goretex since it looks a lot higher than her previous nose. Kimosa, I'm still planning, do you know how much you need to stay there for maybe 20 days?

I think its amazing how she looks different from this picture and the ones on her blog!!!

This picture, her nose is bigger.. wider... not as defined.. and eyes definately looks smaller? Or something.. not like now.

I heard Goretex now can be made thinner & sharper depending on the surgeons skill to match closely with the sharper look of silicon. I hope that's true & I emailed Dr. Kim to ask about that.

I think Dawn Yang did silicon nose. The lines look kinda perfect & it goes straight down, just my opinion. Where is her FHM cover pic? I didn't see it......

Oh I wish I could comment more on this... but I cant because the doctor hasnt answered me yet .. this is one of the questions I asked. about the goretex result/ shapes.

Ummm, oh yeah I was going to go buy the plane tickets this morning & stuck my wallet in my other purse & brought the wrong purse!! This place was like 40 min. away & I paid alot of toll fees too to get there & nothing. So I will have to wait till Monday ush:

Thanks Nini. I don't think she looks that good on that cover. I think she's cutesy & tries to act cute all the time but not the type of look I usually like. Sometimes she looks good, sometimes not just like regular people. We all have angles & times when we don't really look good.

oh ok, kimosa, you were asking about her picture on FHM. I thought it was maskd. sorry about that. well, I think Dawn Yang is absolutely gorgeous, she has the type of look I want. mix-blooded look if you know what I mean. I can tell there are some similarities between her before and after pictures. she was a beauty anyways even before the surgeries, the surgeries just enhanced that beauty. her eyes before were big enough, and the eye job is not necessary, but it did make her eyes look even bigger like the Western eyes. and her nose wasn't so flat in the first place, and the little implant is needed for it look soooo high. whether or not you can be a beauty after the surgeries depends on how you look originally. she originally already looked good, so surgeries made more into a stunning beauty. if a girl is really ugly, surgeries can only make her look better, but won't be able to change her dramatically into someone extremely gorgeous like Dawn.little information I read online, give me some comment about what I just said. not sure if it's true.

It only enhances your look, not totally change you. Of course unless its a FULL BODY change... like the movie.. "200 pounds beauty"

I'm sure MOST people who do PS only want to enhance their original looks, not change it fully.

I was thinking next month.

i have a bridge, but i think my nose is just a little bit wide. I want to just have a trim on the sides. But the doc told me that I need some goretex.
when I had a conslutation here in toronto. I was told that i need rib or ear cartiledge.

Just really scared, since gore tex is experience with ten years for rhino but 20 years for other medical prodcedures.


I know that everyone is different and our bodies react differently but I do believe that asia would be the best place for me to ahve this done, since asian doctors are more familiar with asian faces.

So its tip projection, bridge agumentation, alarplasty?

Someone said that she is going to ask the doctor to SHOW her the height of the nose during the procedure..before she is stitched up.
I imagine, if the doctor was to ask me.. I would probably freak out.

I have always had those thoughts in my head too. If you are ugly, just because you get surgery does not mean you will look pretty. You will look better but you have to have some potential before going into surgery if you are to be really pretty.

Dawn is cute & I do like the mixed euroasian look too but I like a more sexy mature womanly look vs. cute baby wannabe look. LOL does anyone think that too? She's always posing acting cute, there's a difference between someone looking cute & acting cute lol. Anyways that is what I always think when I see her face but she is cute though just the acting cute that gets on my nerves

Yup! I agreed... I felt the same way too! She looks different! Compare the pictures.

Eeee if goretex is so soft, how do they grasp the shape to give...
I see thats why they say that the shape is much harder to do as compared to silicon.

I hope Dr Chuang is good with goretex...
