Ashley Graham - "plus sized" Sports Illustrated cover

I imagine it would be hard for someone like Gabourney at her biggest to find clothes. But if it was a choice between a spandex dress and a tent or caftan (like Andre Leon Talley wears), I'd take the caftan. The woman I commented on in the spandex dress wasn't as large as that but she had lots of rolls of fat showing in a very very clingy dress. She could have easily purchased a shift or tunic of some sort in maybe a 2X size....maybe even 1X. She was with a man and maybe he liked the way she looked. But if it was me, I'd rather cover my flaws. And I do have things I cover even though I'm not really obese.
Gotcha. Perhaps she doesn't view her rolls as flaws....just a thought.

a significant percent of the population buys larger size clothing, she represents that.

i don't really see the big debate. the only thing i see wrong with the last outfit is the shoes, but i'd prefer flip flops or vans...so i'm not really considered fashionable.

Ashley Graham's holiday in Bali with her mother Linda Graham is thundering on.

And the 29-year-old plus-size model is still clearly having a blast, posing on Instagram in her bikini while taking in some sun on the sand.

She's uploaded an album on Saturday that sees her bathing in the rays in a floral swimsuit top and solid black bottoms.

Ashley's stature and weight maybe unpalatable for some, but I love that she loves herself. A stunningly beautiful young lady that I love and adore is 6' 1" and just over 200 lbs. She's large boned, mildly thick and certain that she's unattractive.. but she's really quite gorgeous. I'd give anything for her to feel this confident, and hopefully once she's a little older, wiser, she'll accept herself with self appreciation and love. But for now it's disheartening to observe her disdain for what she can't, and shouldn't, want to change. Ashley Graham is wonderful as an example of a large and beautiful woman. But because of the debate on what's acceptable for the majority regarding 'beautiful and correct', my lovely adored loved one also finds Ashley Graham flawed. It's sad.

I don't like all her outfits, but I'm not the one who has to wear them. She has confidence and that's more beautiful on her than whatever she may choose to wear. I have to say, I am pretty offended by people who blame her for (and I'm paraphrasing here) 'fat women who dress thinking they're sexy'.
Well hello, maybe they *are* sexy! Just because you don't think they are, doesn't mean others don't. I'm no size 2, but I still get looks sometimes lol. Confidence and being proud of yourself go a long way, and Ashley definitely has both of them going for her.

She was chosen as host of Friday night's Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards in New York City.

And Ashley Graham made sure celebrity attendees like Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber got quite the show as she took to the mic to front the event.

The 29-year-old model chose a very revealing ruby-toned one-shoulder mini dress that showed off her undergarments for the high-profile gig.

I'm not a big fan of 'check out my underwear' asymmetrical dresses with high slits, don't think it really looks good on anyone... large, small, tall, short... it's fine from one angle but the moment the person starts walking the mile split makes the leg looks like it's disconnected from the body and the line of the dress looks odd... yeah not my favorite.
