I'm 5'3 and currently weigh 58kg/127lbs, my mom is 5 ft and weighed 58kg/127lbs when she was eight and half months pregnant and that's only a 3 inch height difference. I know I don't look anywhere near to being pregnant and I'm pretty sure if people had seen a picture of my mom at that time they would have guessed her weight being higher.

I know this doesn't really matter in terms of aesthetics but since a health based weight measurements are the closest thing to an objective measurement I thought I'd add my two cents...

I've done a health assessments ever year for the last five years and they've always paid more attention to waist circumference (must be below 80cm/31.5 inches in circumference) and body fat percentage. In fact they hardly pay attention to the weight measurements unless your waist circumference is significantly over and you have a high body fat percentage. I've aced health assessments at both 58kg/127lbs and 64kg/141lbs. At 64kg I didn't receive a recommendation to lose weight even though at 64kg/141lbs you're entering the overweight range on the BMI index.

For some of the women in that Australia photo they might receive a recommendation to lose weight based on their waist circumference even if they are the same weight and close in height. If you have a body type that distributes fat around your torso you're probably unluckier than a person who carries most of their weight on their legs, hips and butt.

Ashley Graham doesn't have a particularly wide waist for her body shape, depending on a few other factors if she's below the 80cm/31.5 inches waist wise I think she's in the clear... although I've never understood how they can have a standard measurement for all waists since that seems like it would also be affected by height.

Many have pointed out similarities in the way she's dressing compared to Kim Kardashian.

And Ashley Graham stepped out in another Kim-inspired outfit on Thursday.

The plus-sized Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl, 29, showcased her curves in an all-white outfit, with duster coat in Soho, NYC.

I was listening to a podcast the other day that had Emily Nolan as a guest. She is or at least was a plus size model and talked a lot about the industry. She said there's just as much plastic surgery with the plus size models as with everyone else and that they get tons of liposuction to create that hourglass figure.

She said the minimum difference between your hips and waist is 10 inches, but that a lot of the girls have a difference of 16 or even 18 inches. Kind of made me think that Ashley is probably done some sculpting.
