Just brought the LV Carmel Hobo in Chocolate, the BAG itself is gorgeous, the leather, the strap, the LV's.. I feel like a star with it. It is a big bag, everything fits in here, But the price tag... Can anyone help me understand Is it worth it?? Or should I return this .. It cost in the neighborhood of 5 Grand,,,, Help me decide is this a return or should I just realize it will pay off it time.

I have one in black. It’s stunning, light weight and have never seen the bag on anyone else when I am out and about. Is it worth $5G?? I’d say probably not especially if your someone That gets bored of a bag and wants to sell it. The resale value on leather LV bags in my opinion is terrible. If you love the bag and no regrets just enjoy it! I buy bags that I love and will use and that’s all that matters to me.

Thank you Jeepgurl.. No I have never seen it on anyone .. I saw it on the site and fell in love with it and brought it just from online view. I agree resale is horrible, I have a small chanel and the resale on that one is amazing. I don't switch bags, my last LV (way cheaper) used it for over 5 years. Just so hard to stomach the price.... uhhhh... but I think I may look at it like; life is way short, enjoy it. Thank you so much!!

I love this bag. It's so gorgeous and seems so luxe. I have eyed this bag many times myself -- the only reason I didn't get it was that I also have a long list of other bags I wanted, and had to prioritize because I don't have a handbag benefactor lol. (I really do need a handbag benefactor.)

If resale is not an issue, I agree that life is short and you should go for it. Right now the trend is small bags, so you probably won't see (m)any others with it, but those of us who like big bags know they are underrated.

I had a Haumea for a while (loved her -- only sold her because I needed the funds for another bag) and I liked the Mahina leather. In other threads here it's explained that today's Mahina is "drier" than "Mahina" of the past, but since that as long before I got into LV, I have nothing to compare it to, and I loved the precision of the perforation.

Please post pics!

I just bought the same bag two weeks ago. It’s so comfortable to use and beautiful. It took me a few days to get past the price and start using it. I still say to myself I just spent 5 grand on a bag ‍♀️. It will be one I will keep forever in my collection. My SA says use it and enjoy !

Hello all....
I am looking at the Artsy in Empreinte OR Carmel bag in the Mahina leather. Do you think Artsy is going "out of style"? Also, I do not live near a boutique so cannot try these on. I did own the Artsy years ago, but never used it so sold it. I since have regretted that. Anyone with the Artsy in empreinte, do you still love it and how is the wear and tear on this bag? To me, the Artsy and the Carmel bag look very similar. Like I said, I cannot try these on, so I do not know if the are similar while wearing. I really love the braided handle on the Carmel and this is pretty much the only reason why I am even considering this bag over the Artsy. I missed the Artsy with the braided handle when it was released last year, unfortunately. I have had other bags in the Mahina leather, although they were nice, I didn't care for the "thinness" of the leather and how my things would sometimes "show" through or push out the leather (sorry, being kind of clear as mud). I really like the empreinte leather feel and how thick it is. If anyone has first hand knowledge, I would love to hear about it! Thank you!!!!
I bought the Artsy in the leather and took it back. It was too heavy. Bought the Carmel bag in brown. Love it so lightweight
