Chelsea Champlain, she was well known for her “tattoo” Coach bags from last Fall. She also takes commissions and will accept any bag to paint. Here are some of her works:

Personally I especially love their work on canvas and would definitely consider getting something painted. They also do restoration work on pieces that are already painted.

I’m back with another artist! Today I’m featuring Boyarde. She is based in the UK, and her specialty is pop art and portraits. At least 90% of the time I think it is worth less. I've seen a lot of painted bags on ebay that don't sell. If it is a famous artist, it might do better. Also I think if the painting is not on a famous brand name bag, it would also do better.Hey! @the_comfortista what do you think about this question:

Agree... I think anyone doing this would have to consider their finished work a special ”forever bag” on their collection or face a huge drop off in value when resold.

If you’re a Kardashian or Jane Birkin, you could probably auction off a customized bag for millions. But the rest of us can’t consider a custom bag to be an investment. Custom bags are very personal and specific to one’s own taste; it will be hard to find a buyer who will love it enough to pay a high price.
