I have not taken my Rolex off since I turned 23. It is apart of my body I think. I have weighed myself with it, showered, snorkled, puked up in a drunken stooper and fell right on top of it on the sidewalk(bad memory) and it's still ticking. I would get a Patek Phillipe first at this point if I had the choice, but what a great watch my Rolex is.:D

Silly Star... :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'm thinking of getting a Rolex for my bf when he grads from college next year. Can you ladies tell me how much I should be expecting to spend on a Rolex so I can start saving. I mean the average price of a decent Rolex? And what are the best dept store to buy the watch? Thx. :flowers:

My Husband & I Each Received A Rolex For One Of Our Engagement Gifts (7+ Yrs Ago). I Don't Wear Mine Every Day Nor Does My Husband.

Nathansgirl ~ It's A Fantastic Investment!!! & You Have Such Amazing Taste! You Are Definitely One To Be Sporting A Rolex!

my mom bought me this exact watch when i graduated college

the watch has put up with alot of abuse over the years and there is not even a scratch on it! Well worth the money. It was recently replaced with a Hublot but it will always be my fave watch.

my granparents gave me mine as a present for my 18th birthday....
and i've been wearing it ever since...
it's timeless and not heavy to wear, plus it works perfectly!
get one:yes::D

I agree-- it's worth every penny and it has a good resale value so you wont go wrong with a Rolex. My dad gave me one when i went to college and they gifted me with another one when i graduated from College.. I wear it everyday , i even sleep with it. My parents gave me another one just before I got married so my hubby gave me a Patek for our engagement.... it's more worth it than purses, for sure.
Hope you find the one for you....

wow irissy! Lucky guy!! I dont know in the US but maybe a few thousand dollars, 3,000+ maybe

Rolex is a great watch. I have had a stainless steel with pale pink face and diamonds in the numbers for almost 10 years. It still looks classy and can be worn anywhere with anything (incl, at the beach with kids!) They hold their value and never go out of style. Hubby loves his Daytona and recently took it in to Rolex in LA and it was free to have it steam cleaned in 15 min. Same feelings about out Cartiers and their service. Proper valet for highend watches can run about 100.00 usd

You'll probably end up spending at least $3000. When my boyfriend bought his, the cheapest one they had on display was the Air King for $3200. Even though it was the cheapest one, it was still incredibly nice. My boyfriend opted for the Oyster Perpetual Datejust which set him back $3800. That watch is fabulous, and absolutely worth every penny.

As for where to buy, I would highly recommend you call Rolex's 800-number and get the name of an authorized dealer in your area.
