Are diamonds by the yard worth it?

Does anyone have a DBTY or Diamant Legers/Cartier d’Amour necklace in a white metal? I think the appearance of silver, WG, or platinum helps diamonds look larger.

Also, does the chain feel strong/durable? I hear that the Tiffany chain is more delicate than Cartier’s.

I don’t feel it poking at all. I wear it 24/7 and very rarely take it off. I think the chain is strong. I’ve been wearing it for years and not had an issue.

I just ordered a beautiful new DBTY-style necklace on Etsy! I got it in YG to match my bracelet that I have. It's a 0.12ct diamond, G Color VS-SI Clarity - for around 1/10th of the price of the Tiffany equivalent! I paid £160 can't wait for it to arrive! I have a platinum dbty and had it shortened to 15 inches to wear it all the time. It's a classic piece imo and I get alot of compliments

LOVE the idea of shortening it to wear daily. . . thank you for this suggestion!
