Are Coach leather bags respected?

I think the 'status' thing comes from the proliferation of Coach bags everywhere, which I notice as MFF signature bags which - like them or not - are certainly not the same thing as leather bags from any of the lines in full price boutiques. I see so many signature Coach bags when I'm out and about, and I'm sure lots of them aren't authentic too. But I guarantee you that those who might sneer about Coach not being a good brand or whatever have not looked at the leather bags - which are excellent.

I like being subtle with my bags. Leather means I can use the bag and not be pretentious about it. Even my co-workers are wearing coach siggy. Leather Imo is classy and timeless. I bought a coach leather wallet and my mom thought i only paid 20 bucks for it when i paid like $118 for it during pce. She thought it was a run of the mill leather wallet from cnkw canada lol. I can enjoy my bags without people going omg why you spend so much!

I was in Neiman Marcus the other day with my new walnut borough bag (w/sunglow edgepaint-LOVE!) and the SA looked shocked when she complimented me on it and I said, "Thank you! It's Coach." She said, "Wow, Coach, huh? Going back to simplicity and elegance. Very nice!" And because she was genuinely a nice SA, I just said, "Uh...yeah. They've been 'this way' for a long time" and just changed the subject. But I was irritated and thinking to myself, "Lady, you might know Balenciaga, you might know McQueen, but you do not know Coach."

Years ago Neiman Marcus carried Coach. My husband worked there when he was in grad school and got a huge discount, and I was able to buy several bags.

If I get complimented on my Coach leather bags, the person usually is floored to find out the bag is a Coach. I still think when the general public thinks Coach they think C bags. That being said I think they are referring to signature bags with comments like Coach bags are out. And that as always is a personal preference

I definitely respect and notice the all leather bags. I see so many Signature bags that I actually do a double take when I see a leather Coach. A parent at my child's school was rocking a Phoebe the other night. It looked so good on her that I came home and ordered one.

Meh I don't care what others think of my bags. As long as I love them, I'm happy. And people who think Coach is not good quality, I'll show them my vintage court bag. The leather is thick and smooshy, I actually prefer it over my LV, Prada or Miu Miu.

You should get what you love. Coach offers a plethora of leather options every season and their leather items are excellent quality. It's become more popular with the masses but with social media and reality tv all the popular designers have; however, the quality remains. I still have my first leather Coach bag in rotation and it has withstood the test of time. I love my Coach leather bags. Even the leather MFF bags are nice. I just picked up an Avery hobo in slate and I absolutely love it. It was relatively inexpensive but the leather is buttery, soft and I'm sure it'll last a long time.

Some of the MFF leather bags are really gorgeous. One of my favorite bags is a MFF satchel. My daughter loves her Avery drawstring. I swear the leather is very close to the leather on my Phoebe.

I will always respect Coach leather bags. My first designer bag was a small leather Coach bag. I still have it 15 years later. I don't carry it now but the leather is still top notch That is good quality. I have not bought a Coach bag in years but as long as they continue to produce nice quality leather I will always have a soft spot for the brand
