Are Burberry scarves supposed to become like this?

I've had my scarf for about two years, it is a cashmere scarf, and for some reason, some of the fluffy parts are peeling off. I'm not sure if this is the "aging" process of the scarf or if it's simply due to wear and tear. Or I'm not sure if it got ruined at the dry cleaners

Is this normal?

Thanks :shucks:

The common house moth might be to blame, since their larvae and rather inconspicuous and tend to chew through things without you noticing them before its too late. Although it might just be the lighting, because it looks like you have tiny wholes in the scarf. However if the case is that it is only pilling, then it is just part of the process of wear and tear...
