I just need some clarifications:

1) Condition the bag first, let it dry and then spray the Apple Garde? Apple Garde can be sprayed on Legacy bags, right?

2) The towel that's used to apply the condition, should it be 100% cotton?

3) Some people mentioned to "buff" the bag, what does that exactly mean?

and do you "buff" the bag by using the leather buffer?

1. Yes and yes. If you spray I'd suggest 2 applications. Let it dry first and buff it prior to spraying.
2. 100% cotton is good, but I just use a soft semi gauzy dust rag type to do mine
3. Buffing for me is waiting for the conditioner to dry, then going over the bag in circular motions w/ a clean section of it to buff, or remove any of the waxy haze that over conditioned parts show as they dry.

I would test the apple on a small un-noticeable part of the pebbled leather first to see how it reacts; some have reported that the moisture causes the pebbling to "fall" and collapse but it's been a YMMV as it hasn't been the case for ALL that have tried it.

Appleguard can be used on most bags, I'd stay away from using it on Patent as I'm not sure what it's effect on that is. I always suggest to condition PRIOR to appleguarding w/ spray. However, your choices are your own, since you own your bags, and might not want to risk the conditioner on the leather if others have reported to have problems doing so.

Megstar, you should be able to use a protectant on your Bleecker without issues. Lots of girls on here have had great results with the Apple Rain & Stain. I also have had good luck with Wilson's protector spray.
Where can I find the Wilson's protector spray? Also has anyone compared the apple to the wilson's which works best? I would love to get some protector for my new leather garnet bag, just ordered the apple conditioner...can't wait to condition and protect my HG!

Im getting my Exotic Croc Maggie in Pink on friday..i was wondering if it will b ok to apple my maggie? has anyone apple conditioned their croc maggie and will it b alright if i sprayed her with the apple guard? Thank girls!

I scored a large gray Sabrina on Christmas Eve and I'm wanting to know about protecting her. Since the color is such a light gray, I'm worried about scratches showing up. Should I use the Apple conditioner on her? Does anyone have this bag and has used Apple on her? It didn't darken the color or do anything bad, right? I've never conditioned a bag before so I'm a little weary of doing it. I've read a couple (not many) incidents of Apple making the bag worse. I don't want that to happen. Thanks in advance!

Hmmm.... I'm very curious to know too, I just scored mine yesterday. I think for sure I'm going to protect it with Shining Monkey Leather protector, I don't see that hurting the leather in any way, but I've never used Apple on it. I don't have any scratches on mine so far, but I don't think just the apple conditioner will hurt it either.

I used the Apple conditioner on my walnut Hailey, it has the same kind of leather, I also used the spray and she's held up great. But Walnut is a much darker color, so I'd wait to hear from someone who has a lighter color.

I just got the gray Sabrina too! I would use both Apple conditioner and then spray it. I typically do that with the lighter color leathers. As long as you don't use cleaner and/or rub the glaze off, you should be fine!
