However I'm still worried about the color bleeding, I'm worried about this since fully half the bags I conditioned with the coach moisturizer bled onto the cloth, although it was only a little. Is this normal regardless of whichever moisturizer I use, or is this particular to coach and abnormal when moisturizing a bag? Also does this mean that the color is very likely to run off my bag when I use it in future?
I haven't had a bleeding problem with apple, so I am not sure. Maybe a spray like the rain/stain guarde will help limit further color bleeding? Not sure though.

Oh dear, at least I know the color bleeding isn't a good sign! Has anyone else ever had color bleeding while conditioning a bag? :X I'm just hoping that the color won't keep rubbing off when I carry it out or something!

I did have a little bit of color bleeding from a hamptons belted shoulder bag (don't know the exact name) in brown leather. I was conditioning it with apple and noticed the slightest bit of color transfer onto the cloth I was using. I was a little alarmed but turned to a different side of the cloth (to have a clean slate so to speak) and was much more gentle and everything was fine. It was pebbled leather if that makes any difference. I have noticed that some leathers and some colors are more delicate than others, so just be gentle when conditioning. Spraying with rain and stain garde should fix the bleeding problem. But make sure that your bag has completely dried after conditioning before spraying. HTH :)

I've only had some color bleeding while I cleaned (with apple's cleaning products) my bordeaux suede satchel and some while I've cleaned some of my older/vintage-ish mini-skinny versions but not enough to make a difference on the leather as it was NOT noticeable that ANY color had come off on the leather itself.

i'm also interested in buying the Apple leather care conditioner for my Parker ba. I have a question about the website tho. On leatherstuff.com, there are different sizes of the "Apple leather care" in 4 oz, 8 oz, and 1 gallon. are these all for the conditioner?

TIA!

Yep. The Apple Care is the conditioner and comes in multiple sizes. Then there is the Guarde (rain and stain repellent), cleaner, and suede products. Check for coupon codes. Last I heard, I think "purseforum" worked.

shortxladie --- if you have a burlington coat factory nearby, go there... i got mine there and they were $5 each for the rain n stain spray and the conditioner. I dont recall the size though.

I meant that I moved to a clean part of the cloth so that I could see if more color bled off even if I rubbed it gently. I've never had color come off on the leather either. Sorry for the poor wording :P

I rather use the Conditioner -which also cleans but I had to use the Cleaner and I loved it. It is hard but if the bag is really bad with dirt and stains it really works

thanks bunnymasseuse and conchenn, at least now i know my bags will be alright! maybe to be safe i will coat them with wilsons tlc just to make sure the color doesnt run further, but i checked this morning, and the color looks like its staying put. fortunately you can't tell that the colors of any of my bags have changed. i think i'm paranoid when it comes to my bags, but they really are my babies!
