Can the Apple Garde spray be used on signature and leather? I have a bag that is denim signature with leather tooled flowers sewn on and would love to use this to help curb the color transfer!

AFAIK yes and its more of a protectant than true boo-boo protector, so use the bag w/ care. I plan on spraying my fabric ellie w/ leather trim also to give her a helping hand on staying clean.

Bunny AFAIK? is that the Apple Guard Spray?

It can be used on Cloth Bags, so I could spray my scarf print swing pack then and the cloth handles on my Hertitage Stripe Tote.

AFAIK = as far as I know

I actually think I might start looking at more wilson leather spray or shining monkey because the cans of spray I'm getting from my local leather stores ( apple rain guarde) are creating a TON of mess and leak as I spray.

I went to Burlington Coat Factory today and got both the Apple Conditioner and the spray garde for $5.00 each!! I think I'm going to do one of my less expensive leather bags tomorrow and see how it works!!

ITA about the spray being messy.
Personally I take mine outside and spray them there and hang them on my balcony to dry.
Plus the fumes are pretty heinous IMO, so take caution in that regard if you have kids or pets in your household.

I do the same thing, but the spray head on all of my cans has been really messy when I'm spraying, I don't shake it up, but it just drips down from where the spray head meets with the can.

I read through all the previous threads about the Apple conditioner & Rain Gard. None of them (that I could see) talked about whether it is needed for a brand new bag.

I have three bags that I scored at the outlet. I ordered the Apple products on Sunday from their web site because there were no local distributors. These came yesterday so I'm getting busy tomorrow for the 3.

I also bought a bag from the boutique today. Should I use the conditioner or just the Gard?

I LOVE THE PURSE FORUM!:smile1:

^^^

I think baglady has mentioned it a few times, but leather seems to be the driest after it has come from the factory, so she (and I) always condition our bags right away. Not only will the Apple conditioner moiturize the leather, but it will help protect it a bit as well. I would spray with the protectant after the conditioner dries. HTH!

Thank you, greenpixie. I tried reading all the posts but probably "zoned out" & missed something.

Thank you also for moving my post to the appropriate thread.

This will be my weekend project to condition & spray with the protectant all my bags.
