Anyone watching the Heritage auction this morning?

My experience with Heritage so far is not good and this may be the last time I'll place a bid online. They have an old address on file for me and cannot seem to get it changed to my new address no matter how many times I ask them to correct it.

You cannot make the change online. So you have to call them and speak with them directly which I did. The representative assured me he would take care of it right away. I sent him via e-mail my correct address plus a copy of my drivers license.

This morning I received my second invoice still with my incorrect address. There is no sales tax where I live now and they are including tax in the invoice as well.

Of course I've sent various e-mails to them and no response from any of them either.

Very disappointed in their customer service department.

Audreylita, do not worry Heritage is very reputable.

I have been to the New York auction when Matt was there and it was amazing!!!
He has moved to another house (Christie's)

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-...-is-worth-60-million-to-an-auction-house.html

I was in heaven looking at all the bags on display and I would never bid unless I viewed the bag in person. You really can't see the details or some flaws unless you look at the bag in real life, and the year is also important to know which is not always visible or revealed on the Heritage site. But, if you are a lucky winner at your pricepoint you can get a real steal of a deal. You have to hope nobody bidding wants what you like. Matt said it is very random and unpredictable and just depends how badly someone wants it.

After seeing so many in person I decided to stick to the H boutique and soon after got my croc!!!!!Brand New and gorgeous. But seeing all the croc birkins and kellys in person was very educational and helped me do my pre buying "homework".

I used to go to the New York HA events and knew Matt well. This is different in that it's their internet based group and they are just not responsive. They give you x number of days to pay for the bag and I'm getting ready to leave town. They will just have to deal with a late payment. If they'd made my address change yesterday morning when I spoke with them then it would have been fine. But it's still not right and I need to focus on other things right now.

I got an e-mail from a new person at Heritage, stating that the correspondence I sent to Scott did not have the attachment of my drivers license with my new address. When I initially spoke with Scott he said just to send him via e-mail, from the e-mail address I have on file with Heritage, my new address. I suggested a copy of the drivers license and although he said that was not necessary that it couldn't hurt. I sent him this info yesterday morning.

Today a new person sends me an e-mail stating they must have a copy of my drivers license and that it wasn't attached to the e-mail I sent yesterday. I double checked and it was attached. So I responded to this new person and asked them to check the e-mail again because it was definitely attached.

I have now gotten an e-mail from a third person at Heritage stating that I need to send her an attachment of my drivers license in order to sell me the bag.

Admittedly this is getting a little tired and I explained that I had already sent it to Scott and he stated that I didn't even need it to get my address changed.

Their customer service department leaves a lot to be desired.

Update. They just sent me a corrected invoice, minus New York state tax. But still with my old New York address on the invoice, stating they cannot correct that yet. They've asked me to pay them on Monday.

On what planet am I going to wire them funds if they don't have my correct shipping address?

You just can't make this stuff up.

Jeez, sorry that you have to gone through all that Audreylita. I know how annoying and frustrating it can be. Have similar experience with HA in the past, though not as exhausting as yours cause I just gave up trying to communicate with them.
Hope it will all soon resolved to your expectation.

I sent them my last correspondence yesterday. If they can't get it together on their end then I just won't buy the bag. Seriously, when I'm spending this kind of money on a single item I want it to be an enjoyable experience. They've really managed to take the wind out of my sails.

So sorry to hear this! They must have really slipped in service. Although...I remember buying a piece of art from them, and since it was an auction near me, I drove over, paid on the spot, and left with the item.

Then I started getting invoices. It did clear up fast but it was annoying. Bad Heritage!

If you do get your item Audreylita please reveal :D

I paid for the bag but don't have it yet. I was hoping to receive at least an e-mail confirmation that they'd received payment. Nothing. I'm a little disappointed in how they do business.

I was in NYC last week and of course stopped in to Barney's. ;) I was surprised to see a section from Heritage Auctions. First Neiman Marcus, now Barney's...

That's been there a few years, not sure if it's always been Heritage, maybe it's a rotation of consignment but they've had a small nook of "estate" bags there for a while. I've seen some amazing pieces there, it's almost like a purse museum sometimes. They've usually got some very special stuff, I saw a Teddy Kelly last year. Have fun in NY!

I was just there and they've had better items on the shelf in the past. Don't know if you checked the prices but they're really off the charts. I wonder if they're actually selling the items or if they end up going back to HA.

I've never noticed it before! But then, I'm only in the NYC Barney's about once a year. This time I was in and out relatively quickly and did not check the prices - the whole thing surprised me! I was almost afraid to touch them lol. :p

Bumping this up rather than starting a new thread, I'm watching the live Heritage auction while doing some work and an item I'm interested in went unsold earlier. Does anyone know if these will go live again tomorrow or what happens to unsold items?

Thanks!!
